This is sadly the price paid for convenience, not dissimilar to paying over-the-odds for a minimalist productivity app.

The Incase 'Sync and Charge' cable is simply okay. For the price, I definitely expected a lot more in the quality of the product as the plastic moulding feels quite cheap, and even has lines from where the moulding hasn't quite made the cut (no pun intended). The connectors themselves however are identical to what you'll find on Apple's own cable, so that's a relief given the wear and tear they come under.

I got the lime green version and it really looks fresh vibrant! Adds a fun touch to my iPad.

As for the length of the cable, 6-inches really requires you to have either a VERY low wall plug socket or an extension cable laid flat on the floor. I'm in the latter camp most of the time, and so it's easy enough to balance the iPad in landscape mode and plug it in directly next to the plug socket. However, this is not so easy when you're travelling as the height of plug sockets will naturally differ from hotel to hotel.

In short, consider your options carefully before purchasing a cable of this length. It's great for travelling with and very hard to lose given how bright it is, but you can easily end up being frustrated if you can't find a safe way to put your device on a surface.
