  • Overview

This printer, scanner and copier offers cost-effective printing for home users who are looking for the added benefit of Wi-Fi connectivity and mobile printing. The Epson Expression Home XP-405 comes with Epson Connect, allowing users to print documents and photos wirelessly. Additionally, users can print from anywhere in the world by emailing documents and photos directly to the printer.

The XP-405 is Apple AirPrint-ready, making it simple to print emails, photos, web pages and documents directly from Apple devices. The automatic Wi-Fi set-up makes configuring your Mac to print and scan wirelessly extremely easy. The XP-405 automatically finds the relevant connection settings in order to configure itself.

In addition, a 6.3 cm colour LCD with touch panel and accompanying memory card slot offers easy-to-use printing with helpful menu prompts. Ratings & Reviews

Printer comes with a set of start up cartridges with a limited supply of ink, therefore when buying include an extra full set. It connected very easily to the wireless net work and no problem with the Remote App on the iPad.

Printing results very acceptable although a little slow on colour. Overall a good value product for modest home use.

The printer itself is good being a photo copier and a scanner and a printer all while being wireless but the print quality isn't t he greatest and the print speed is slow. Set up was fast.

Takes ages to start printing if woken from sleep - finding the Wi-Fi network was impossible - I'm now using it wired to my IMAC - not happy with this purchase

  • Does the job.. mostly.

Wish i'd seen the previous review regarding the limited ink supply! Printed off one set of lecture notes and already the ink has g one. The printer itself is easy to set up, prints fine (although stops and starts halfway through printing sometimes) and has a good wireless connection. When it begins printing however, it sounds a bit violent.. like there's a paper jam! But it's been fine so far, apart from the lack of ink!
