Great sound and great design!
These headphones are the best purchase I've made on a set of headphones for travelling, commuting and general listening. Style wis These headphones are the best purchase I've made on a set of headphones for travelling, commuting and general listening. Style wise, they are elegant with brushed stainless steel and very nice leather. The Momentum's are surprisingly lightweight and i find them comfortable enough to use for several hours without discomfort and on my daily commute they isolate background noise very well with the enclosed ear design.
Sound wise, they are very good with a deep bass response and clear on the upper end too. I've tried them on different genres of music from Classical to Electronic Dance and haven't been disappointed yet.
For out & about use, the in line controller for iPhone ( and iPod) is great, enabling me to take calls as it has a built in microphone and volume control, etc. Call clarity is excellent and saves the messing around trying to remove headphones when the phone rings, put it this way - no one has noticed yet that I'm using the in line mic on calls.
The Momentum's also come with an extra cable which is without the in line control, if you prefer this and of course the advantage of changeable cables is worth noting, as previously I've had headphones that have become useless because the cable has frayed or come off completely.
Finally to complete the Momentum's they come with a beautiful case that they can be stored in when not in use and again Sennheiser have really taken the time to design these. The cable can be left attached to the headphones and can be stored neatly without a tangles mess ensuing.
Overall, these are great headphones and well recommended! …

Beautiful design and materials. Quality sound!

Beautiful grown up design a perfect blend of retro and modern styling elements with keen attention to detail. I genuinely think these are the best looking on-the-go cans available at present.
They feel expensive. They look understated but premium much like a Swiss automatic watch. The materials are awesome, brushed steel soft leather hard leather , both hand stitched I might add. I cannot fault the design, build or quality of materials.
The sound is, as you would expect from Sennheiser, fantastic. Powerful quick detailed cohesive. Nice transition through low mid and high great balance, nice tonality. Slight bass emphasis but this I think is needed on cans designed for on the go use and its no where near as dominant wooly and and loose as those competing plasticky rapper headphones!
All in all a joy to look at. A joy to touch and feel. A joy to listen to. Sennheiser have really knocked the ball out of the park here I cannot fault these at all.
Finally a proper fashion headphone, been a long time coming …

They are be After literally months of research, trial of headphones (including a pair of AKG 550 and B&W P50s I settled on these. They are beautifully made and sound perfect to me with a solid all round response and the right amount of bass to treble. I cant stress enough to try headphones out first. The AKG had amazing reviews but they are rpobably best fro classical music. I listen to Pop/Hip hop and 80s and found these to be perfect for home listening on Hi Fi as well as rocking my iphone. …

Astonishing in so many ways!
I've had many different headphones and earphones. These are so great in both sound quality, design and comfort! The bass is a bit I've had many different headphones and earphones. Personally I prefer the P5s as I find them more comfortable and I really like the design. The Momentums are comfortable too they just don't fit my head as nicely as the p5s. You really can't go wrong with either pair. …
