Well worth the money

The sound is fantastic, really natural and really clear. I listen to all kinds of music, from classical to hip hop and everything sounds great and just seems to sound like it’s meant to. These sound far better than my boyfriends Beats which cost more than twice as much. In particular, I think vocal sound really rich, almost like live recordings and I’ve heard little details on tracks I’d never heard before.
I also find the microphone really responsive; I don’t have to hold it close to my mouth to be heard clearly. The remote works well and seems sturdy. Generally, these earbuds seems much more expensive than their price suggests; they’ve got a nice fabric cable, are made of metal and come with spare tips and a little bag.
I've previously had problems getting headphones that fit well, so I loved that these came with lots of tips sizes. I like to listen to music when I’m writing and I can wear these all day without getting sore. They also block noise really well - I used them on a train yesterday to protect against a screaming baby and I could barely hear anything except my music, which was fantastic and I would’ve given them a five star review for that alone.
All in all, these are great. I could have paid a lot more for these and I would still think they were really good value and high quality. Highly recommended. …

Great quality earphones at a great price.
I don’t think I would have heard of RHA if not for my friend who owns a set, but I’m glad I took a punt on the MA450i, as they’re I don’t think I would have heard of RHA if not for my friend who owns a set, but I’m glad I took a punt on the MA450i, as they’re a really, really good set of headphones.
The sound of the MA450i is incredibly clean and natural. The level of detail in music is remarkable, everything seems very well balanced. They seem able to handle all sorts of genres of music very well. Noise isolation is excellent thanks to the abundance of tips bundled with the headphones.
The build quality is good, the earbuds being made out of solid aluminium. The cable is fabric-wrapped and I don’t know whether it’s really ‘tangle-proof’ but I prefer the texture and it seems a bit more robust than the normal flimsy rubber cable.
The two-tone tips with hints of orange look really smart when they’re not in the ear. The aluminium buds have a high-gloss finish which looks great.
The remote is excellent. I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 and iPod Nano and the remote and mic work well with both, especially as a handsfree kit. I was also pleasantly surprised to find they worked with my MacBook and iTunes/Skype.
The buds come with a velour bag, and a box with six additional pairs of tips. Another bonus is that the buds come with a three year guarantee. This is impressive as I don’t think I’ve ever owned a pair for three years without something going wrong.
I’m very pleased with this purchase. Having tested them at the gym and at work, I would absolutely recommend them to anyone. The MA450i cover so many different bases and do them all very, very well. Definitely give them a try if you’re looking for excellent sound, build and comfort quality at an affordable price. …

Got these and I have to say, even 3/4 cranked up there is no distortion and sound remains perfectly clear. You do get a bit of the stethescope effect whilst no music id playing with the cord rubbing off your clothes however this stops when the music starts.
If you want a good looking, well-built set of headphones on a budget, stop looking. You just found them. …

Great sound quality but very poor manufacturing quality.
I bought these in October 2012 and loved them, the sound quality was great as was the noise cancelling, not to mention the longer I bought these in October 2012 and loved them, the sound quality was great as was the noise cancelling, not to mention the longer lead being handy.
By January the wiring was coming apart by the remote. I phoned Apple, got a replacement and by May the same thing was happening again. I got another replacement and by December 2013 the microphone stopped working. I've come to the conclusion that the quality of product build from RHA leaves a lot to be desired. Trying the Ultimate Ears 400vi next. …

While they offer mor After reading the stellar reviews for these earphones, I decided to get a pair. I returned it one day later.
While they offer more detail throughout the entire sound palette than the Apple EarPods, they're very poorly calibrated by RHA, resulting in an extremely trashy, shrill and even hissing type of sound. The bass line is fine, but everything on the medium and higher frequencies is calibrated with such high treble that it makes for a very unpleasant listening experience. I listen mainly to classical music (especially opera) and the sound lacks depth and color. Brass sounds horribly shrill and completely overpowering. Same applies for voices, with lower male voices lacking any depth.
Another big deal breaker for me is the poor isolation of the cable. RHA claims that the fabric around the wires is supposed to reduce entanglement. Nothing against that. However, not having any rubber between the fabric and the actual wire is a serious design fault resulting in all the noise resulting from the cable hitting something being transferred directly to your ear which is extremely unpleasant (thumps, scratches, everything).
To sum it up, I think that for a lower price, the EarPods provide a better overall experience: I don't find them as detailed throughout the sound palette as these, but you can still hear everything and the frequencies are much better calibrated. …
