Yes, Parallels is only a Virtual Machine Software, so a copy of windows is required. You can either purchase your own copy, or purchase a download copy from inside parallels. …More

Info states there is a 500 gig requirement to use Parallels: the Mac Air only has 254gig - can this work?

Answer
It's a req of 700MB, which is a lot lesser than 256gig. In fact it's lesser than 1gig of space.

Dear 波任,
You need to refer to the license agreement/notes that accompany your Windows 7 disk. In my case the installation disc I already had restricted installation to one machine only and hence I had to buy another Windows 7 disc for my Mac.

I use a windows CAD program (with a USB dongle) on my MacBook Pro and Paralells to switch between Lion and Win 7 ; NO PROBLEMS 99% of times - some speed (slowdown) may occur with very large files ( make sure you have ample memory ) and once in a while it will hang ( good old windows style...), but overall runs as well if not better on the Mac.
