I dont see myself as much of an Audiophile, but rather someone who enjoys Rich, clear sound, with piercing treble and deep bass, to find this on a pair if In Ears is a tough task indeed. After owning many In Ears, from Apple's standard, to Bose IE's 1 & 2, I decidied to fork out the £150 price tag on these as the guys at the Apple store did nothing but sing the praises of these In Ears (pardon the pun). From the moment I started playing my music, I was simply blown away, these In Ears are the best In Ears I've ever heard, without a doubt. However, After owning my first pair for about two weeks I discovered that everytime I made a phone call, I got alot of static, this became worse to the point where I could no longer hold down a phone call with them. So I returned them to Apple and was given a new set. The second pair failed me after two weeks, as the left Earphone stopped working completely, This wasn't my fault, I go out of my way to make sure my possessions are looked after to a more than caring standard. So with dissapointment I returned them again 4 days ago and got another pair. Once again, today, after only 4 days, the left earphone has stopped working... Im going to return them and buy another brand of in Ears as soon as possible. For £150 the sound quality cant be faulted, the build however, can be. Its such a shame that Such amazing sounding earphones are let down by a sub par build qualtiy. I mean for me, these in Ears were what I've been looking for, for so long, they sound great, they look great, and they're not overpriced. But sadly after giving them 3 chances, Im moving on to something else.
If I were you customer, I'd buy them and try your luck, if you get a pair and they last, happy days, if they fail you once, give up there and then and save yourself the trouble of having to return them time and time again. …

Beautiful sound which does not last.

Do not let this review be entirely misleading - they are exceptional headphones. However, even under my (rather careful) ownership, they stop working; it all starts with one of the ear phone pieces failing to produce sound unless one fiddles about with the wire (bending and twisting it etc.) This eventually stops helping and the earphones become dishearteningly useless. I call upon the technical masters at B&W to sort this out! You are marvellous people and should be proud of creating such wonderful sound - however this vital problem must be fixed.
I urge you all to think twice about purchasing these. …

I tried some B&O first and just could not get on with them from a fitting point of view (long to fit and not comfortable after a while).
The B&W are easy to insert and stay in very well (the loop works well for me), experimenting and choosing the right bud affects the fit and then also sound which is then excellent. …

If you dont, they will sound tinny, shallow and no bass. When you get a good seal, they sound amazing. You can 'hear' where ech instrument is located in the room. The cable is a bit stiff and would be nicer if more flexible, but these are the best sounding earbuds I've had (and I've tried many). Use the apple 14 day return policy and try them out. …
