Good product but not perfect

It really does live up to what it promises and is a good product.
Unfortunately this product only comes with one chargeable battery. Most people I would asume, use both a keyboard and a mouse/trackpad. I would definitely buy an extra battery if there was such a product!
Now I have the Mobee battery in my keyboard and my trackpad runs on aa-batteries. Buying another whole Magic Bar set just to get another battery pack doesn't seem like a viable option. …

Battery pack not compatible with wireless keyboard (3 AA batteries)

The battery pack however doesn't fit with The design, look and feel is great and delivers exactly what is says in the description. The battery pack however doesn't fit with my wireless keyboard (aluminium with 3 batteries) so now I can only use it for my trackpad. Since it is designed to fit both keyboard and trackpad it would be a good idea to sell (or include) additional battery packs to allow recharging of both. I'd give 5 stars if a battery pack fitting the 3 AA battery keyboard was available. …

Don't buy it if you have the 3-battery bluetooth keyboard
IT DOESN'T FIT. Not only is the battery pack only 2 cells long, it does not lock shut into the keyboard.

The batteries charge up a bit slower than normal rechargeables in a charger, but it's generally easiest to just leave the keyboard/trackpad in the bar overnight. Alternating between the trackpad and keyboard keeps both fine - they'll hold the charge for days.
And yes, you can buy a battery only separately both from the Mac shop (online but not in-store) and from Mobee so as to use one Magic Bar for both Keyboard and Trackpad.
Don't however rely on the % shown in the Bluetooth info bar, especially not for the Trackpad. It never indicates a higher % than the charge (so you shouldn't get caught out), but won't refresh properly for the Trackpad unless you remove the fully-charged battery and replace it. This doesn't seem to be a problem for the keyboard, so appears to be some sort of glitch on the Mac end (this on a 2011 iMac).
And, lastly, yes, you do need to bear in mind it only works with the newer (2 battery) wireless keyboards. …

I purchased my Apple wireless keyboard and track pad so that I could clear extra space on my desk without having to unplug cables.
