Ratings & Reviews

  • Excellent Earphones but only with Memory Foam Earbuds/Tips

    5.0 out of 5 stars

I bought these earphones after doing much research on them. Its a very very well built headphone and I am sure it will lasts you a very long time. Because of the high quality material used, it is quite heavy on the ear and may feel uncomfortable or maybe even drop out. However, if you replace the silicon ear tip with a memory foam ones, all the minor problems will be resolved. I came across the memory foam ear tips after being advised by Atomic Floyd's customer service. The memory foam ear tips that I used are by MoBeast and you can find them fairly cheaply on eBay. At least much more cheaper than the rip off Comply brand of which I tried and is not as good as MoBeast's. As for the sound, all I can say is its the best I have ever experienced! I used to own Dr Dre Tour and Klipsch x10i and the Superdart is far superior in terms of built and sound quality.

  • Wow. Just wow.

Where to start? Well they look great - that's the first thing you'll notice. These are EIMs which look like they should sound good . They're built from some sturdy materials and come in a smart package. You'll get the feeling you're in for a treat. You are.

I'm coming from a very nice pair of dual driver Ultimate Ears which replaced some pretty decent Shures from a couple of years back so I'm accustomed to very nice sounding IEMs. That should put some context on things when I say these are head and shoulders above anything I've used before. The drive and energy behind the sound these produce is astonishing. The experience is, for want of a better word, massive. Play something bass heavy, close your eyes and you could imagine someone has somehow sneaked a massive woofer into the room. The sound has a visceral edge.

That's not to say these are all about the bass. So far I've tried these out with a range of styles and not found a single one lacking. It was when I listened to Hotel California though that my mind was made up. A great song for testing out speakers/IEMs etc. because of the richness of the sound. No word of a lie, it sounded like a new song. Harmonies were clear and crisp, the plucked guitars twanged playfully as the melody swelled and the drums thumped and crashed with energy and drive.

They're not cheap but you can't doubt the value. These are fantastic IEMs and if you're in the market for a great set and are happy to spend the money to hear your music so beautifully reproduced I am happy to recommend these unreservedly.

  • Best Headphones I have ever owned.

    5.0 out of 5 stars

By far the best headphones i have ever used in my life, they are advertised as having an excessive amount of bass but i've noticed that the bass never feels like its too much, just right in fact, treble is clear and vocals as well as solo instrumentals stand out perfectly. with these i've discovered parts of my music that i'd never heard before! Close your eyes and its like youre there.

  • OK but not great

    2.0 out of 5 stars

I bought these in February due to their amazing reviews! They replaced a pair of iBEATS which I loved the sound of but not their r eally shoddy build quality.
Personally, I'm a bit disappointed with the Super Darts. They just lack something for me. I use an iPhone 4s with 320kbps, Lossless and iTunes bought 256kbps AAC files. I listen to a lot of dance, drum and bass & RnB music. These earphones are definitely clear and bright, maybe too bright at times as they can be piercing. For me though, there just isn't enough bass. They lack bass compared to the Beats and I MISS THAT! Sound quality is subjective to the listener but i'm disappointed and given the chance, I'd return them.
Build quality is first rate though apart from the horrible remote which is too high up and doesn't feel comfortable plus I can't seem to be able to use the centre button without having to really look at it. Just not a very nice remote.
All in all, ok for £120 but wayyyyyyyyy over priced at £200. I bought because of the amazing reviews. Just be careful because for they don't do it for me! OK but 6 out 10

  • Superb

I was a reluctant spending £ 200 on in ear Headphones, but I have to say they are without doubt the best earphones I've used. The sound is crystal clear with plenty of Bass, fantastic vocals with no distortion.
The build quality is second to none and they feel and look fantastic.

If there was a negative it would be that there not ideal for jogging. I use a cheaper lighter pair for running.
