It will, so long as your Mac is of a model produced in the last few years. Older macs do not support the 'headphones + mic' type of plug used on more recent Apple gear. The best way to find out if your particular Mic will work well with this is to check if the tech specs from your model include support for 'Apple headset with remote and mic'. Any application which can record from standard apple Headset with Mic, as this is effectively the same thing in a dedicated unit. Any of the recording apps on the app store will do, or you can use the Voice Memos app included preinstalled on some devices. …More
