Great product, but do not put on iMac stand

    • Written by from Milltimber

Really easy and always a powered mouse.

BUT, do not put the charge unit on the aluminium stand of a iMac. The induction based charge principle is negatively influenced by the metal of the stand, making it show 'waiting' stae in stead of charging.

Puttingit slightly outside the stand ensures no troubles!.

    Cheers and have fun

Ignore the Mac OS battery status

    • Written by from WELSHPOOL

I just pop my Magic Mouse on it overnight once a week and never have to worry about replacing the batteries. It works just as you'd expect, except the Battery Level reading in the Mac OS bluetooth menu only refreshes when you take the battery pack out of the mouse and re-insert it. Which means it can be showing 100% for days, then all of a sudden it drops to 6% and then stops a minute later. Apart from that little annoyance it's a convenient way to charge up your battery-sapping Magic Mouse. More

    Doesn't last long enough

    • Written by from Kingston Upon Thames

If you don't charge the mouse every time your not using it, the battery will run out in one or two days. Also the battery level indicator is not very accurate. Generally, it goes from around a 100% to 40% and then to 6% at which point you have minutes before the battery will run out. Also make sure you turn the mouse of before you charge it or it doesn't charge. The battery level will remain at the same level. More

    Don't Buy!

    • Written by from Lincoln

I truly can not believe that Apple are endorsing this product!

The battery pack doesn't fit properly and the metal is so thin that to force the fit will only result in damage. Once fitted I left it on charge for 24 hours after this period the green light was still flashing? I tried to use the mouse to see how much charge had been taken but the mouse simply didn't work! I replaced the mouse for another 24 hours and still the green light flashes and the mouse doesn't work.

I have removed the battery pack which took forever as I didn't want to break it (a very poor fit indeed) and replaced it in the hope that the mouse would work. Needless to say it doesn't and I have resorted back to batteries! Whoever tested this product at Apple should be very ashamed as it is no where near the quality or ease of use that would you expect from Apple or one of their endorsed products.

Personally it's a shame that you have to give one star as I would like to give it -5.

    Magic Mobee burned out!

    • Written by from Ilford

Bought this device less than two months ago. Whilst working on my mac a few nights ago, smelled a burning odor. Mobee was usb'd into my computer - a window popped up to say that one of my usb ports was 'overloaded'. Mobee has a dark brown burned area with cracked surface. Thank goodness I was at home to unplug it! Not what I'd expect form an Apple endorsed product! More

    Perfect solution

    • Written by from Alton

My Magic Mouse gets used 8 hours a day and was eating batteries as if they were cheese. The Magic Charger is a perfect solution to this problem and worked straight out of the box. Time will tell how long it will take to pay for itself, under a year would be my estimate, but my reason for buying was the convenience rather than cost saving. One tip: After fitting the battery pack, I had to tell my iMac to reconnect to the mouse via the bluetooth icon on the menu bar. I occasionally had to do this when replacing the normal batteries anyway. More
