I have had two cheap transmitters for my iPod, with 'all-in-one' cradle/holder and short cable that connects to iPod to charge and also play music. The two have lasted over a period of almost 4 years, not bad for around £12.
Enter the more expensive (£45) Belkin. For the price ... absolute rubbish!!
Constantly have to re-tune. Not good practice when driving so have to stop the car to find a station that works. Driving around a town or city is a nightmare. When a stable station is found, the volume drops and then rises, also static sound.
Listening pleasure with this device is zero. I am taking mine back.
The search continues, in the meantime, i may spend another £6 for the next two years.

It does not I bought this a while ago and whilst using it around London I continually get interference from other radio stations. It does not appear to be able to lock into a station so that you can listen to your music uninterrupted and clearly. When I used to get interference it was very tempting to retune to listen on another station, but obviously this is not safe to do when driving. A big waste of money. I would not recommend that anyone buys this product. It was a lot of money for something that does not work well.

To use it you need to install a belkin app that does not work. Having spent £50 on this i am left with a device that charges my phone whilst refusing to recognise its transmission function. Neither belkin or apple seem to have a fix for this.

Short version is if you want something that works, don't buy this!
