iPhone comes in three storage sizes: 16, 32 and 64GB. The term “GB” stands for gigabytes. The more gigabytes you have, the more content you can store on your iPhone — apps, games, photos, HD videos, music, films and more. If, for example, you have a large music or photo library or you frequently download HD films, it’s a good idea to consider an iPhone with a larger storage capacity. If you have a relatively small music or photo library or rarely make or buy films, an iPhone with a smaller capacity may be better for you. How do I get started using the iPhone to make and receive calls?

First, insert an activated SIM card from a compatible network. Then turn on your iPhone and follow the onscreen instructions to set it up. If you chose Pay as you go from the Apple Online Store, insert the Pay as you go SIM that arrived with your new iPhone and follow the instructions included.
Do I need an iPhone-specific service plan?

Yes, you do. When you buy the iPhone from the Apple Online Store, it is sold unlocked with the option to add a Pay as you go starter pack from one of the available carriers. If you don't select Pay as you go, you can contact a carrier directly to learn about the service plans available for the iPhone.

Do I need to commit to a long-term contract for my iPhone?

iPhone is available on the Apple Online Store with the option to add a Pay as you go starter pack, pre-loaded with call minutes, texts and data. With Pay as you go, there is no contract, so you are free to change carriers whenever you want. And you pay only for what you use. iPhone is also available on contract directly from wireless networks or the Apple Retail Store — and may have a lower price upfront.
If I choose Pay as you go, can I keep my current phone number?

The SIM that arrives with your iPhone will have a designated phone number which will be live. If you want to keep this number, you don't need to do anything. To keep your current phone number, contact your existing network and ask for your PAC code. Provide this code to your new network to have your number transferred. It usually takes up to seven days.

What happens when my Pay as you go starter pack runs out?

Your Pay as you go starter pack comes pre-loaded with call minutes, texts and data. When it runs out, you can top up your credit for that service. Depending on the network, you can top up through your iPhone, via the web, an app, at cash machines or selected retail outlets. You can also choose to change your service or even your network. Carriers offer a variety of Pay as you go services for the iPhone.
Does the iPhone support tethering?

Yes. You can share the fast connection on your iPhone with your Mac or PC, and connect to the Internet from just about anywhere — no Wi-Fi required. Contact your carrier for details.
Will all iPhone features work with my network?

Certain features such as Visual Voicemail require carrier support and may not function on your carrier’s network. Contact your carrier for more details or read this support article for information.
