It says it has "Automatic two-sided printing", What if I only want one-sided printing? can auto 2-sided printing be turned off??

"Automatic two-sided printing" Does this mean it will ALWAYS print on both sides?

    As I read the question above, you are asking two contradictory things. In answer to the title in Bold text, the answer is absolutely, Yes, you can turn it off!

    In fact, in answer to the second question, I actually had to turn the Double sided feature ON!. Much to my annoyance, I wasted my first print run because it was printed single-sided by default. All you have to do when you get to the Print Menu is just make sure that the Double Sided tick box is on or off as appropriate.

    I have since set up a simple print template to create a selectable print option which I labelled as Double-Sided. So now I can select "single" or "double sided" from the print options dialogue to suit the size, type and format of document I'm printing at the time.

  • I have contacted Apple's live team and they told me that the printer will ask you when you tell it to print, so yes, it looks like it is a completely optional feature.

  • Two-Sided printing will only be used if you select it in options, by "Automatic" it means, you don't have to manually turn the paper over.

  • Yes, when you print there is a box that says "two sided printing". When it is checked it will print two sided, when not it doesn't. Two sided printing is not supported in Microsoft word, instead you have to open it in preview and print from there. Other than this this is an awesome printer and you will not be disappointed.
