These Dock Adaptors enable your iPhone 3G or iPhone 3G S to connect to the iPod Universal Dock and other products that use the Universal Dock system. The adaptors are also designed to enable sound to pass through during speakerphone calls.
Simply insert the iPhone 3G Dock Adaptor into the Universal Dock, then plug in your iPhone 3G or iPhone 3G S. When you want to connect an iPod to the Universal Dock, pop out the iPhone 3G Dock Adaptor and insert the one for your iPod.

Does what it should do....
Am pretty sure the reason they put three in is in case you have more than one dock. It saves people buying more than one if they have a dock connected to the computer, one for charging etc. Also agree that although it should have been included, the iPhone is a lot cheaper now than it was so I really don't mind paying the extra for it. …

Yes, you only need an adapter. The white box on the iphone wall charger has a built-in converter. You can read the very fine print on the box: 100-240V - Europe is 220V so you are fine. …
