According to the review on wire cutter this charger should be able to charge 2 iPads at the same time, so you should be ok charging the iPhone 5 on it. With that said, you'll need to provide your own cable as I believe it comes with a 30 pin connector cable and NOT the new lighting-bolt connector. …More
