I am considering buying a Mac Book Pro and need to know if Garage Band or Mainstage 2 can handle setlists that can be qued and played live?
I am currently using Midi Maestro software on a PC Netbook (master) along with a drum machine (slave). I start and stop the midi backing tracks with a USB footswitch set up to act like a space bar . I would like to know if Garage Band, Mainstage 2 or any other apple software can duplicate this kind of "one man show" configuration.

AnswerThere is definitely Mac software that will do what you want. People do this kind of thing all the time. The spacebar emulation trick is probably unnecessary on the Mac, and may not work the same.
