I am a heavy Quicken user so Quicken for mac will not work for me. How good is VMWare or Parallel for running Quick for Windows on the Mac

    Yes you can run t under VM Ware. Obviously you also have to instal Windows 7 so you have that overhead as well. Need a multi core processor and ideally assign 2 of the core to run the VM and Windows.

    VM has the benefit of not having to shunt down your mac side so you can toggle between both OS and you can share files across the platforms

    Quicken then runs as easily, as it is running under the windows OS.

    Just make sure you have sufficient ram and a multi core processor for best performance.

  • I use VM ware just so I can use Quicken. I am using VM verson 3.1.3. Can I upgrade it and still use the Quicken on the MAC. I assume I can't go to Lion.
