I still have at least 8 '30 pin' cables for iPods, iPhones & iPads, which have all lasted all this time, with not one fault.

Since my partner and I bought each other the iPhone 5 in January, we've had 3 faulty 'Lightning' cables each. Yes, Apple will replace them under the warranty, providing you return the faulty one! If not, they will relieve your credit card of £15.00 and leave you with yet another cable which will break within a month.
This is clearly a very poor design and one which needs to be addressed by Apple immediately.
Come on guys. Your quality control is going down the pan here!

The simple fact is that they are poorly designed and always go in the same place - just beneath the connector into the device, where the cable element starts. It doesn't like being bent and there is a connection issue that develops after a period of time.

Not good enough for Apple and refunds should be given to those that are being forced to shell out on new cables. This isn't a consumer or care issue, it is a design flaw.

Something so simple yet you cant seem to listen to your customers and make the necessary design tweaks to ensure this product work Something so simple yet you cant seem to listen to your customers and make the necessary design tweaks to ensure this product works. It is no secret that the cable casing is so delicate that it cannot withstand normal wear and tear so why have you done nothing about it??? USELESS!
