    DO NOT BUY THESE HEADPHONES

    • Written by from Diss

These headphones cost £65 - but YOU CANNOT REPLACE THE RUBBER END BITS - apple does not sell them and the headphone is smaller than standard brands so other makes do not fit.

THIS NOW MEANS THAT 16 WEEKS AFTER SPENDING £65 ON THESE HEADPHONES - I NEED TO THROW THEM AWAY...

(I lost a small size rubber end bit in a taxI - when travelling. It cannot be replaced. Headphones now useless)

So DO NOT BUY THESE HEADPHONES YOU ARE WASTING YOUR MONEY !!!!

It's a good headphone but Apple is not making headphones as their main thing so I suggest going with the Apple EarPods their are extremely great sounding headphones I have ever seen and it's just $30.But,if you like In-Ear Headphones go with the others or take this one.

    Apple In Ear Earphones

    • Written by from st.Austell

Sound is amazing, amazing bass and vocals. Good for all genres of music and block out other noises very well. They are also very comfortable and definitely worth £65. Found that bass is better if i push the earphones into my ears then they sound better and feel more comfortable as i can hardly feel them

    Poor sounds quality, poor construction

    • Written by from Miami

I bought these because I didn't like the EarPods that came with my iPhone 5. The EarPods would not stay in my ears. The In-Ear headphones stayed in ok, but the sound quality was poor - weak to none existent bass. Then about 3 weeks after receiving them, the left earphone stopped working.

    Fantastic, the best...... Almost!!!

    • Written by from Darlinghurst

The best in ear headphones ever, but let down by the fact the rubber ear pieces constantly come off and are lost, which renders them useless....as stated by other customers.
Apple. Please make the grip fit tighter, so you attain a perfect score!

Most awful earphone i ever owned. not worth 30 cents. much less $80 dlrs.

    • Written by from East meadow

    RUN!! Keep your money!!!

Only now i KNOW i had it VERY good with the original $30 pair that came with the iphone. i like base and i need to hear sounds around me while wearing earphones. i dont need to crank up the volume. So for the original earphone, i purchased black foam covers, at Radiio Shack, so the earphones didnt slide out of my ears constantly.

Then i spent/threw away $80 dlrs. VERY VERY Disappointed with Apple. horrendous sound. i used the medium plugs and couldn't hear ppl talking to me and the base was VERY poor.

Then i replaced for the small buds. Now there is no base at all - only treble. In addition I still can't hear ppl around me very well.

They sounds like CHEAP AM radio. i mean horrendous!
    Save yourself $50.
i WISH i could have had a Test Drive! would not pay 30 cents.

Wil buy the $30 dlrs pair and the black foams.

    Warning!

    • Written by from London

Do not be mislead by the £65 price tag. These headphone are very, VERY poor quality. Apple's own £25 earphones are vastly superior in terms of sound quality. Please don't waste your money (and it is a lot of money)... like I did.

Great sound, but significant issues with reliability

    • Written by from Toronto

I've gone through three sets now. I've re-purchased because I'm pleased with the sound. I'll enumerate three issues:

    (1) ambient noise tends to get in around the buds
    (2) the remote mic and builtin controls tends to fail
    (3) the silicon in ear pieces tend to fall off easily and get lost

Were these $40 I'd be delighted, at their current price point I'm looking for alternatives next purchase.

Last 6 months, Apple will not replace them

    • Written by from Reston

Despite the excellent sound quality and great price point for dual-driver headphones, I do not recommend this product. They are extremely fragile, made for aesthetics rather than durability. At six months old I had no audio in the right earphone, and Apple refuses to replace them even though they are in warranty and appear as new condition-they attribute the failure to wear and tear, which is not covered by the warranty. My experience with this one product has tarnished my opinion of Apple, especially their service procedures. To add to the frustration, you cannot obtain extra silicone ear tips for these headphones. They tend to come off easily and do get dirty over time.

    awful!!!

    • Written by from Pittsfield

Shame on you apple!!! these are by far the worst headphones that I had bought in my life. The gel adapters fall off at each wear, lost all of my replacements and the little tiny wire screen from where the sound comes out of, these were obsolete for me, wasted my $79 plus tax because I couldn't even return them, Apple would not take them back!! Very sad about the last one!!!

    Not bad

    • Written by from Москва

I think that these headphones are good. Why good - I still can't find a suitable vacuum size and in result the headphones don't hold on in my ears like they have to. I tried all the sizes (small, medium, large), but I need to make experience on my ears.

    Good

    • Written by from London

    These are not too bad.

I found the bass to be a little weak for my liking and they're not as loud as my previous ones (Sennheisers). Price wise: they're a little expensive for what they are.

I think these should come as the default headphones with iPods and iPhones.

Decent performance and great ergonomics but not for audiophiles

    • Written by from Huntington Park

These in-ear headphones are great. They do a great job at canceling out outside noise and while still providing crisp and clear audio. However, they lack range in bass. They are a comfortable fit and if they seem to be of great quality, but we'll see how long they last. They are worth a look if you're looking for headphones that are a comfortable fit, lightweight, and want outside noise canceling. When I blast these headphones I'm able to completely isolate myself from the outside world and the best part is nobody knows what I'm listening too. There is minimal sound leak which make them perfect for use in quiet areas. I'm a college student and think they are worth it if it fits these needs, but if you're looking for the best sound with rich deep bass, then you should look elsewhere, but at this price range, you'll be hard pressed to find similar headphones with this kind of sound quality and beautiful ergonomics.

    Buds pop off, no replacements

    • Written by from Davis

If the screen comes off (mine did), the silicone buds will not stay on with regular use. Even if the screen stays on, as with all in-ear headphones, the silicone buds eventually get lost. UNLIKE other in-ear headphones, Apple does not sell replacements. I have tried skull candy and other brands' soft buds as a substitute and they do not fit. Apple should either make the headphones compatible with other brands' buds or sell replacements. You are paying $79 for a product that will not last long.

You're all wrong... These are good.

    • Written by from London

I bought a pair of these about five years ago on recommendation from a friend after complaining about another pair of headphones that had perished after limited use.

Since then I have had two more pairs (I lost a pair and bought a replacement, and HMV had reduced them to £30 once, so I couldn't resist)... None have experienced any build quality faults after extensive use (my in-line remote on a £130 pair of Bose is temperamental)... They dismantle easily for a deep clean...

All Apple users will appreciate the simple understated look, the excellent compact carry case and the hardy in-line remote...

Now to address the well-documented flaws:
    - replacement buds... I got some from the Regent Street Apple Store for free... I don't know if that was a lucky exception or something that other users have not done.
    - lack of bass... I agree with the other user - PUSH THEM IN - get the snuggest fit buds and push them to create a seal with the ear... And this helps block out the external noise...
    - clarity... for most users paying £60 I guess that these will be for your iPod/iPhone whilst on the bus/tube and not for studio-listening... I get plenty of clarity for in-ear headphones and they compare well to similarly priced Sennheiser and Sony sets that I have bought... I agree with another reviewer that the only time I notice extra 'parts' to a song is when using higher-end on-earphones in a quiet environment...

[ I personally would recommend Bose earphones if you live near a store as they will give you unlimited replacement buds and will replace the headphones under a two-year warranty... When out of warranty they heavily discount a new pair to replace them... ]

Make your mind up for yourselves but if you get a chance to try these then do...

    Too Big

    • Written by from Lakewood

The sound is great, but seriously, the in-ear design is way too big! Apparently designed with men in mind! Even the slightest tug on the cord pulls the headphones our of my ears. Very frustrating.

    No replacement tips

    • Written by from Cambridge

These headphones are great except for one issue: The silicon ear tips come off very easily and Apple will not sell you a replacement set. Unfortunately once you lose one of the set that fits you this product is utterly useless unless you buy a whole new set for another $80. The lack of replacement parts is a glaring oversight.
