    No replacement tips

    • Written by from Cambridge

These headphones are great except for one issue: The silicon ear tips come off very easily and Apple will not sell you a replacement set. Unfortunately once you lose one of the set that fits you this product is utterly useless unless you buy a whole new set for another $80. The lack of replacement parts is a glaring oversight.

Only effective for up to 20 seconds before becoming easily Dislodged

    • Written by from San Juan

These headphones are effective for reducing external noise. However, the effect only lasts literally 15-20 seconds before the in ear headphones come dislodged and external noise creeps in.

I think the design is really lacking on these things b/c the slightest movement will pull these things out of your ears. They really don't fit in an ear well at all.

Sitting on an airplane: I could not chew gum b/c jaw movement will knock these out of place; couldn't pop my ears either as we ascended/descended. Walking somewhere: the weight of the cord gently bouncing against your chest as you walk pulls these out of place; if you're walking and don't adjust the headphones, they will likely fall out of your ear completely within a couple of minutes.

    Basically flawed

    • Written by from LONDON

These ear phones come with different sized silicon ear buds, but they are very easy to lose and are then impossible to replace from Apple. I found the smallest the only size that fits me, and having lost one - and I store my IPod and ear phones in a ziplock bag as they easily pop off - they are pretty much useless. The next size up is both uncomfortable, and springs out of my ear. You can buy replacement ear buds from other companies, but had I known before how easy they were to lose, and that they cannot be replaced, I would have bought in-ear headphones from a company that sold replacements. Also the replacement ones I've found are black, which would look better if I'd already got black headphones.

I expected a lot from Apple's In-Ear headphones...however, i was really surprised when i'd found out that the bass on these is non existent. Nada.

    Not the best

    • Written by from Stirling

Received these as a gift and because they cost so much I felt obliged to try them out. For 65 pounds the sound quality is way below average. Very 'tinny' and as the other reviews say not much in the way of bass. I also find they are not a great fit where other cheaper earphones are. No matter what buds I use they do not stay in the ear and the slightest tug of the cord dislodges them so so easily and you are constantly adjusting them. I have persevered with these and although they are good for taking phone calls they are definitely not worth the money all round!

3rd pair in as many months

    • Written by from Stockholm

This is by far the best example of horrible engineering I've experienced since the hands-free hamburger holder. On the other hamd - that product probably lasts longer! Same issue for me and all collegues - left earpiece stops working shortly after usage begins. The sound is decent but in no way compares to Bose high end or similar- those who state that have not tried high end phones. But the sum - such bad quality that it renders the product useless.

    Nonsense Ear Phones.

    • Written by from Pune

Really I don't know why Apple making this kind of nonsense ear phones. Always left ear bud is sticking inside ear. When I pulled ear phone out of my ear, ear bud is staying inside ear only.

Please go for Bose ear phones.

P.S: Please DO NOT purchase. Go for BOSE.

    can't replace plastic tips!

    • Written by from Minnetrista

I love love love these headphones. They sound great and the small plastic tips fit perfectly in my ear.

I hate hate hate these headphones because you can't replace the plastic tips. My son keeps taking them off and losing them and I can't replace them. $79 bucks down the drain.

To bad the warranty is only for one year. On my second set in three months. The right speaker went out in two months, the left speaker is out in less than one month on second set. Have also experienced several shocks. Headed to the Apple Store this week for set number three. Apple needs to recall this product!!!

no bass, not worth the price

    • Written by from Mérignac

It's all in the title, this headphone delivers almost no bass sounds. I am very disapointed with this purchase, especially considering the relatively high price. I wasn't expecting Apple to ship this kind of poor quality product,

    DON"T BUY!!!

    • Written by from LA CROSSE

As much as I love Apple. I don't like these in-ear headphones with remote and mic. They are built very poorly. I got these for free because the original Apple in-ear remote/mic stop working after 2 years, so Apple was kindly enough to send these for free. But I kept on having to buy replacement buds on Amazon every 3 weeks because they kept on falling off and I couldn't find them.

So I advice you to purchase the new earbuds with mic or the ones without mic.

    No replacement ear tips

    • Written by from Canberra

Imagine making a product that has detachable ear tips that, quite easily, detach and get lost and not selling replacements. Actually, you don't have to imagine it because this is that product.

    Not Worth Buying!

    • Written by from Winthrop

The rubber ear plug keeps on dropping out. If you have lost all the rubber ear plug, there's no way you can replace it. So your headphones would be useless without the rubber ear plug unless you can stand the discomfort of hearing music without it. Therefore. I would highly recommend whoever who is interested in this product to pay for something else. God bless those who have bought this without reading my review. PEACE OUT!

    AWFFUL!!!

    • Written by from Rockford

I had such high hopes for these headphones but when I finally received them I just couldn't believe how poorly they performed and for apple, shame on you! the cheaper headphones out perform these any day. There is absolutely no bottom or bass in these without shoving them in your skull and even then it's minimal. Apple shouldn't sell these for no more than 20.00. Come on apple are you really leaving this completely to after market companies...

    • Written by from Chicopee

I do alot of physical work at my job and I keep going through the regular 30 dollar earbuds. I thought that becasue these were more expensive that that they would be better but they are not. They actually sound terrible and the bass is not even there. Trust me look for some better head phones these are not worth it.

    • Written by from Los Angeles

I expected the sound from these headphones to be great, with great bass, but that's not the case. They sound pretty bad! The earpods that come free with the iPhone 5 sound way better! Total waste of money! Too bad, I've never been dissapointed with an Apple product before.

These might be the cheapest sounding headphones I have ever owned. I don't know where people got the idea that they sound good, there are a lot better options out there for this price.

    Would not recommend.
