I got my iphone in July 2011 and I went without any sort of case for quite a while. When I purchased the phone, I also bought the Zagg screen protectors that same day...so the phone wasn't entirely exposed. Anyways, I disliked the idea of spending $30 on what seems to be a tiny piece of plastic with silicone around the edges, but I also love the sleek design of the phone so I didn't want to cover that up with a bulky case. I bought the white bumper case for my white phone in August 2011 and I've had it ever since. It looks great, feels great, and complements the design of the phone. I'd consider myself to be quite a clumsy person and this bumper case has held up very well! After all the slips and drops, yes, the case is no longer white and it has a couple nicks and scratches. OH WELL...phone still works and looks great. I will be purchasing another one soon! If dirt is going to be an issue for you, don't purchase the white one. This was money well spent. I really like the built in buttons on the case... that's a nice feature.

Before I purchased the Apple iPhone bumper, I was using the Pink Otter Box, which gave maximum protection to my iPhone when I went to The Grand Canyon and dropped my phone in the rocks, but for everyday use it became too bulky, and the protective screen gets scratched, which is why I tried the Apple bumper for a sleeker appearance for everyday use. Loving it.

Definately a great case if you love to show off your iPhone like i do. I got my white bumper case with my iPhone 4S and it looks great! however like alot of people have said, there is definately a discoloration of the rubber part of the case after awhile. Getting a black case will obviously elimate that problem. However if you want a different color anyway, i recommend taking the phone out once a week and cleaning the bumper inside and out with water. this will slow down the discoloration and also clean out the inside preventing scratches on the antenna due to dust particles and etc.

Best case ever. I would get cases for all my toys but they were to big so i wouldn't use them, well this one is small and strong, so get this case.

I was skeptical at first. The average review is only three stars, but I knew I wanted a bumper case. A slim profile was important to me and I like to be able to see the phone. I'm a college student so dirt and water aren't really a big concern. It lives in my pocket, see. That's not too harsh of an environment. The bumper really is an awesome possibility for the iPhone 4 and 4S. It sticks past the edges of the phone just enough to keep the back and screen off of surfaces and it's impossible to drop the phone on a normal, flat surface and the case not take the impact.

I tried two cheap knockoff bumpers before this one because I didn't want to spend $30 on such a simple product. Well, as it turns out, it's not so simple. The first bumper's buttons stuck and quickly discolored. After about a week the lock button cover fell off and cracks started to appear in the plastic around the buttons. The second bumper didn't fit exactly right. Pressure anywhere along the top edge of the phone would trigger the lock/unlock and MU phone frequently locked in the middle of a task or prompted me to shut off arbitrarily. The moral or the story is that though these bumpers are much cheaper (~$2) they just aren't quality products. This one fits perfectly. The buttons have good feel and look high quality. The profile is actually slimmer than the others I tried, too. That means its smaller in my pocket and still keeps the screen off of the table or car console.

I hope to save you the trouble of being disappointed in the cheaper bumpers and buyin this in the end, but, heck, they're cheap enough to experiment with if you want. I assure you, though, Apple's attention to detail really shines on this product. It's a perfect fit. The buttons look and feel great. I didn't have to use a knife to get the silence switch hole to fit my 4S. You can really buy this case and not worry about it anymore. Do yourself a favor and just buy this one to begin with! This case has it all: fit, form, and function. Not only does it look great, it also feels great in the palm of your hand and lies securely (without slipping) for use on flat surfaces. The bumper has enough grip to minimize sliding around on your car dashboard or console, yet it's smooth enough to carry in a shirt or pants pocket without snagging. It fully protects all edges and faces of the iPhone in a highly functional and unobtrusive fashion. Well done!

This case is my favorite. It does start out a little on the stiff side, but I've had it for a year and it's perfect. I got the white and it still looks almost like it did when I got it. I dropped it twice, once on concrete and once on a wood floor. Both times it landed on the corner of the case. The concrete one left a stress mark on the case that is only visible when you look really close...the phone...was fine. This case is sleek, protective and an absolute pleasure!
