After all these years, Apple still can't figure out how to make their wireless product, you know... WORK.

i've had this keyboard for over a year, and it's a constant headache to work with it. First, the battery use. While most keyboards I've used only need batteries changed about once every 6-12 months, this one needs batteries changed nearly once a month.

Second is the performance issue. It has issues connecting to a computer it's paired to. It might just lose connection to the computer, without any apparent reason (note - this is not happening with any other keyboard we've tried). If you want to pair it with another computer - it's pain in the neck to make it go into pairing mode. There is no clear way to put it into the pairing mode - you merely turn it on, and it goes into pairing mode if it's not paired with anything, automatically. The problem is if it is paired - good luck making it go into the pairing mode to pair it with another device.

At this point I have switched to the regular USB keyboard, as this keyboard is just causing too many issues.

I bought this keyboard because I own the mStand; and I must say, it is an excellent keyboard. The keyboard is lightweight, compact, and easy to move, it pairs very quickly with all of my Bluetooth devices, and it's compatibility with the Mac makes it a joy to use. Great job Apple!

I'm still getting used to it, though. The height off the desk is the biggest difference I find. But it paired with my Retina MBP straight away, and no troubles.

I love this keyboard. I use it with both my Mac and IPad with retina display. With its built-in bluetooth technology, this keyboard is easy to pair with both of my Apple devices.

I recently bought The Swedish version of Apple's wireless keyboard to use as a tool in learning to read, write, and speak the language. The keyboard was simple to setup with my MacBook Pro, and works very well. It's lightweight, small, and the battery life is quite satisfactory. I love its compact size as it easy to travel with, and I'll confess I like the Swedish keyboard layout--I guess it works well my eccentric self.

I only wish that Apple offered a wired variant for my desktop.

    You made my year!

I saw the new Apple wireless keyboard at Radio Shack during my Christmas shopping, AND I had to replace my original IPad after I broke the screen. (Ugh, but not too ugh.) I decided to replace it with the new Retina IPad and joy of joys, I love it too! It helped to soothe the pain of breaking my old screen, to say the least. I couldn't, in conscious, also treat myself to a new keyboard so I told my sons that I wanted the keyboard as my gift for Christmas since all of the others that I had tried were just not working for me. I didn't like the feel of the others, the weight of the keys, some of them rubber which was a definite no. Sort of like playing a piano, you have to have the right feel or you just don't play well. Well, long story short, they didn't get it for me, so guess what?! I went shopping the day after Christmas and bought it for myself. Wow! I love it! It feels just like it should, and now I can type away without so many mistakes and so much frustration! There just isn't a comparison to this great product, and it was a snap setting it up. Thank you Apple! You have made my year!

This is really good keyboard on the iPad. I'm actually using it right now and works really, really, really well. It is super quite and barely hear it clicking. The sad thing is that it doesn't hold up the iPad, so you have to have a case to hold it up. But other then that it's AMAZING!

    Worst Apple keyboard yet

This keyboard is the most unpredictable Apple product I own. Sometimes it will work flawlessly, sometimes it won't. It always goes berserk come time to replace the batteries. It will never reconnect to my Mac. I always have to go through a secret initiation process that Apple itself won't even publish to get the shiny metal waste-of-money to pair with my other shiny Apple products.

I miss my white Apple bluetooth keyboard.

Drops characters if you type fast

I like this keyboard, except for the fact that it drops characters, or mis-reads characters when I type the "delete" key quickly. In mid-delete the cursor will jump to a new location, then continue deleting. This is kind of maddening and requires correcting the unintended deletes.

So if you plan to use this keyboard, don't type quickly!

    Works with PCs too

I have a Dell laptop and the Bluetooth works seamlessly with it too. The reseller was unsure and as I know them let me have it on a try or return basis. I have used the keyboard for over a year now and as I connect my PC to an external monitor it is ideal to set my laptop up way from me and to use a Bluetooth mouse and the keyboard.

The combination of the 2 has made my work experience much more effective.

PC users don’t be aloof or scared of this Apple product – it’s great!

    The BEST keyboard yet

I've used this keyboard for 2 years now with my iPad 2 and it's been perfect! There is NEVER a need to turn it on and off once you have it paired and turned on. Don't bother to ever turn it off. I had to change out the 2 AA batteries after 8 MONTHS of use. Sooo easy compared to having to plug into a USB every other day. I also like the idea of not having the keyboard hooked up with the case because that just makes the iPad bulkier all the time. This Apple keyboard is also very thin and easily slips into my purse on those rare occasions when I need to take it with me. I found a small padded slipcase for it for that purpose.

Oh....if you want to use the on-screen keyboard there's a small button at the top right corner of the keyboard that will let you switch back and forth between the on-screen keyboard and the Apple keyboard. It just couldn't be easier. I love this Keyboard and consider it just as good as any other Apple product...perfect!

The keyboard couldn't feel better. And it's white so its easy to see the keys at night if you really need to see the keys. I have one question though....

I now have an iPad Mini....does anybody know if I can pair it with the same keyboard and then use it with both the iPad 2 and the Mini WITHOUT having to unpair with one to use the other? If not, I'll just buy another Apple keyboard. But I need to know. Thanks to anyone who can answer me.

Got some water on the space bar and now the space bar does;nt work and there is no way to get into the keyboard to clean it.
No way to fix it, unless Apple sends me some instructions; which I doubt.
Otherwise it is a good piece of equipment.

Nicest feel of any key you'll use. Very quiet too. This keyboard increases the gap between quiet and LOUD clunky old keyboards you hear in your office.

As much as I love convenience of the wireless keyboard, I put it away permanently because it is an utter battery hog.

It provides such a convenience when I'm in class and want to take notes on my iPad. You might argue that you can just type on the screen but I find the wireless keyboard is much easier and not as tiring when there are a lot of notes to take down. It is so addicting though. A must have.
