Well the bad news is: There is no Time Machine for PC. The good news that you can get a third party backup software and just point to the TC when the app ask you where you want to save your image file.
I hope it answered your question. About the best PC backup software: just google it.- Answered by Szilard S from Destin

If i do use the time capsule as a router and a back up hard drive, when i back up my mac will this count towards my data allowance

Answer
No, there is no downloading being done by a Time Machine backup, as the backup occurs wired/wirelessly between the Mac and TC. The internet is not part of that process.

Will it work with BT Broadband
Good day
We have a BT broadband router for the Mac OS X Snow Leopard and PC Windows Vista that we operate in our home.
The time Capsule appears to have what we need for both networking and backing up both of our systems, but not if it is not compatible with our ISP - BT broadband.
Therefore before we go ahead and purchase one we would appreciate it if you could respond to our query.
Many thanks

Hi, i just bought a couple of Macs and a time capsule ,i only have a BT ADSL line and a BT home-hub 2.0 but i now have both the Imac and the Macbook Pro accessing the internet via an extremely powerful Time capsule wifi network and both machines back-up with no problems every hour onto the TC absolutely perfectly without me doing anything! You can come across a"NAT" conflict which is caused when both connected machines are sharing the same IP address but all you do is disable NAT for one of the PC's.
Just an afterthought, when i display all wireless networks my Hub is still transmitting and i just moved my Apple network to the top of the lists o as to prioritise it when connecting a laptop! This way i am still transmitting a BT FON signal for others to use and means i am still eligible for hotspots when travelling as opting out of FON would remove my free unlimited access throughout the FON network in airports and public places etc!,,,,Dave Cummings (we never had computers at school)! Does anyone know if Time Capsule is compatible with AT&T 2wire modem and router?
I want to buy Time Capsule for my iMac, but i am worried that the wireless router in TIme Capsule will interfere with the wireless router in the AT&T 2wire. The AT&T 2wire is a single unit that contains both modem and a router. I was wondering if anyone has any experience using these 2 devices and if they are compatible. In particular, Is there a way of disabling or by passing the router in the AT&T 2wire?

Yes, your Time Capsule is compatible with the 2WIRE modem. Your easiest configuration is to use the Airport Utility to configure the TC in bridge mode. With the TC in bridge mode, the 2WIRE continues to serve as the DSL modem and router. (When you step through the configuration wizard in Airport Utility, you will be asked whether to select Bridge mode or Router mode; select Bridge.)
Presuming the 2WIRE router is serving your LAN in DHCP mode, your TC will pick up an IP address (LAN side) from the 2WIRE and be just like every other device on the 2WIRE network.
I suggest that if you intend to use the WAP capabilities of your TC, that you disable the wireless services on the 2WIRE router/bridge. The advantage of using the wireless capability of your TC is that your users will have slight speed advantage while backing up to the TC (rather than using the wireless section of the 2WIRE).
This all means that you will leave your 2WIRE connected to the phone (and DSL) line. You will connect the Time Capsule to the 2WIRE via Ethernet cable (use the WAN Ethernet port on the TC).- Answered by Kevin B from Oak Brook

Can someone tell me how big the time capsule e.g. dimensions...width, height and length in cm?
I need to back up and move some photo/movie files off my laptop as it keeps on saying the hard drive is full. Is it therefore worth buying the time capsule or just a western digital hard drive? Thanks

Does TC need to serve as the main base in an extended network in order to utilize TM backup? I would like to add an old refurb TC as an extender.
I have a new AE which works great. I have the opportunity to buy an old TC, but I do not want to use it as my primary base station because it lacks some of the features of my new AE. I would like to use the old TC as a wireless network extender. However, I would like to know if the TC/TM capabilities are functional if the TC is serving as an extender instead of as the primary station.

If you do not already have internet service setup at your location, a modem or gateway device connected to Time Capsule by Ethernet cable will be necessary to access your ISP's service.

Can I make a backup of my TimeCapsule backup?
The issue I'm wanting to avoid is loss of data if I lose both the computer and the Time Capsule (i.e. fire or theft). So can I attach an external hd to the Time Capsule and set it to make backups of the Time Capsule backup. I would then rotate external hard drives, keeping one locked in a fireproof safe or off-site. Or is there another way to achieve this?

Best Answer
Since you can not Time Machine a Time Machine, you could not do this using Time Machine, but can easily use your Mac's Disk Utility "Restore" function to clone an exact copy onto an external HD.
I would prefer to use Disk Utility "Restore" to clone a Mac's entire internal HD directly to a FireWire external, rather than use USB external - FireWire is MUCH faster if you have it on your computer (some Macs don't have FireWire).- Answered by Andrew H from Carmel

My MacBook Pro has Time Machine in the dock & I have an Airport Extreme. Is Time Machine the same as Time Capsule? Is Time Cap already on my MacBook?
Sorry, I am a novice obviously. My Mac needs to be repaired and I'm trying to find a way to backup my Mac before bringing it in. I keep reading about Time Capsule but see a lot of negative reviews. I hate to buy it esp. if I already have it. Thx!
