Will this connector help me to attach a second monitor to my Macpro for an extended display with the same resolution??
I am using the Macpro for video editing.

AnswerYes, the resolution will depend on the screen but if you buy a 1680*1050 screen it will be the case.

MacBook Air 11 to older TV
I am looking to hook at school an older TV to my new macbook air 11 Before with my macbook pro I used an adapter to connect the port on my macbook pro to both S-video and Composite video connectors so that I could view content from my computer to the TVs, with S-Video or RCA (Composite) connectors.

If my monitor resolution is higher than that of MacBook monitor. Can i go beyond MacBook's limit once i connect my monitor through this adapter?

AnswerYes. The precise resolution for an external monitor depends on which machine you have, but could be up to 2560x1600. My MacBook Pro 13" is presently simultaneously driving an external at 1680x1050 and its own display at 1280x800.

Best AnswerIf your TV supports VGA, then VGA is your best bet. The 2008 model uses Mini DVI, not Mini Displayport.
