Why does my iPad not work in a car
Why can I not access the Internet in a car or in a place without wifi

Answer
It depends on which model if Ipad you have and probably the type of car too. I have a 1st gen Ipad with Wi-Fi and 3g. I have never bothered purchase a sim card so I can't use the 3g yet TOM TOM works perfectly in my car. Obviously I don't have any Internet access unless I'm sat next to a free Wi-Fi hotspot but I can use my Iphone as a Wi-Fi hotspot if I really need to get online.

Answer
I'm quite sure you can use the same email address and apple ID as on any of your apple devices and that way you may have access to previous downloads from your iPhone onto your iPad as long as they are compatible.

I recently upgraded to the iPad 3 from the original iPad. Along with the beautiful new screen, there is a noticeable reduction of glare in the new iPad. I've also used an iPad 2, and can say with certainty that both earlier versions are WAY harder to use in sunlight than the third-generation. I think it's called IPS technology (in-plane-switching).

I've been trying to decide whether to get the new ipad mini or a macbook air; I need it for basic school needs and personal needs as well.
As for school needs I only need it for basic things such as word docs, possibly powerpoints, nothing too serious and downloading music and photography; which would be easier to use/more convenient and easy to carry around, its hard to decide because theyre both so great and highly recommended, but I want to know which would be best for me.

Answer
I think you'd get frustrated by the size of an iPad Mini for that sort of work. I've used both a 13" Macbook Air and Retina iPad for those same things (school too) and would recommend the iPad all the way. I would be able to give up my Macbook Air if I didn't need to use Adobe Creative Suite programs for work.
The retina display on the iPad is amazing, and it's so portable, the battery is great and get one with cellular. I used the first gen one for 2 years at school and it was the best decision I ever made. It can do everything you want it to.- Answered by Tom M from North Epping
