Does Apple have earphones that will allow you to hear outside noise, but still stay in your ear, which the classic ones can't seem to do?

I want to hear outside noise, such as oncoming traffic, while I am listening to music. Also I find that when I use the earbud type of earphone, I get the annoying side effect of hearing myself breath or swallow, but the classic earphones provided with my iPhone will just NOT stay in my ear. Is there a type of earphone that will stay put without plugging my ear?

I bought a pair of Budfits and use the earbuds I got with my iphone. They hook to your earbuds and wrap around your ears. They are very comfortable and stay in your ears. They also stay in when I put on my motorcyle helmet.

  • This is in answer to my own question:
The sports style earphones work well, without blocking out all other noises, which is useful when you are biking etc. I don't have to listen to myself breath (major annoying).
They stay put, which is good if you are busy working while you are trying to listen to music, & if some one wants to get my attention while I'm listening, I can hear them call my name rather than tapping me on the shoulder & scaring the bejabbers out of me.

  • not really, you could just turn down the volume, take one bud out, or pause the song. but isn't the purpose of listeing to music to not have to listen to other people?
