IPad 2 standard warranty will cover Belgium if item bought in the US?

I travel a lot between the US and Belgium. I want to buy an IPad 2 but I want to make sure if I have a problem when in Belgium, the standard apple warranty will cover these issues in Belgium and therefore avoid any need to send the ipad back to the US?
