How do I get iPhoto for ipad2?

I have pictures on photo stream on ipad2 but want to download iPhoto to my ipad2 in order to sync with my iMac and MacBook pro,and in order to keep all my library and events, projects etc in one place but individually on each machine. Does this make sense? Does ipad2 run on iOS 5.1 which is what I've been told that I need on iPad before I can buy the app. If not then how do I get that operating system for ipad2?

  • Yes all iPad's can currently run iOS 5.1.1 (the latest OS)

    To get this update plug your iPad into your Mac (either one) and you can perform and update and restore, this will get your iPad up to the current release and enable you to download iPhoto for iOS.
