First impression is WOW they look great together. iPad Mini with Retina is exactly what I needed.
The Smart Case is made with good, thick, quality leather that look and feels like it will last for a long time. It definitely will be able to protect the outsides of the iPad with out a doubt. There is one MAJOR flaw with the cover. The magnets that make the cover into a horizontal viewable stand are not strong enough. With a small touch to the iPad Mini, the case unfolds flops down.
I am going to the Apple store now to return in. …

Pros: an exact li Listen, I'm a bit of an iPad case junkie and this was the LAST case I thought I'd like, but it's perfect for me. Pros: an exact lightweight fit; the leather (it's aging nicely); the cover stays on well. Cons: the three-way stand isn't great, but I have various use stands at home and office, so this is not an issue. Also, it's leather, so if you're all OCD about marks, scratches, etc., choose your color carefully. …

Works well but here is a suggestion
Why not add some clips on the sides to the folding cover so it can use the entire cover extended to sit upright?
The triangle f Why not add some clips on the sides to the folding cover so it can use the entire cover extended to sit upright?
The triangle fold design works for upright position but only on firm and even surfaces. Using the entire cover would give it a firmer stance.
Overall this is a functional apple product but more of that great Apple creativity could be added to it …
