The USB power adapter you get with an iPhone works with 110-240V power, so if you have one of those, you will be fine according to another answer on this site.

Can I use the plug adapters with my iPad charger?
The iPod charger that comes with the World Travel Kit has normal iPod specs (Input: 100-240V 0.15A 50-60Hz Output: 5V 1A). I am going to Spain and had planned on using this kit with my iPod Touch, but I just got an iPad and noticed that it's charger is a little different (Input 100-240V 0.45A 50-60Hz Output: 5.1V 2.3A). Can I just snap the plug adapters from this kit into my iPad charger and have it work ok? I don't want to accidentally fry my iPad or have it not charge at all!

I am an Electrical Engineer. Short answer: Yes.
Long answer: The only things that is important for using any AC adapters overseas are the following:
* You need to have the right type of plug. If you do not it will not fit, and if you force it, it could break.
* The adapter needs to support the right voltage for input. Some of the world uses around 110 volts. The rest uses around 220 volts. Many digital devices have power adapters that support both, which is often written as 100-240V or sometimes 110-240V. As long as it support both you are good. If it does not things get messier, and I won't get into them here.
* It must support the correct frequency for input. Again some parts of the world use 60 Hz, the rest uses 50 Hz. Just about all AC adapters support both. If the do they will say 50-60Hz.
So looking at the iPad charger:
Does it have the right plug? Probably not, but with this kit you can change the plug, so now it has the right plug.
Does it support both 110V and 220V? Yes it does. It supports from 100V to 240V.
Does it support both 50Hz and 60Hz? Yes.
Therefore: With the kit and your iPad charger it will work pretty much anywhere on earth, and even on the space station!
The last number for input is Amperage. It is related to how much Current or "Juice" it uses. You really don't need to worry about that, as all AC adapters use little enough current that they will work anywhere.- Answered by Joe S

This is different. On your Magsafe charger, there has a removable adapter socket. (For example, if you live in the USA, it has a USA adapter on the charger. But you can rempve the USA adapter and put for example, an Australian adapter on it so it will work in Australia. The Travel kit includes all the adapters for all around the world. It also includes an Apple charger with a removable socket for your iPhone.
Hope this helps.- Answered by Michael M from Stratford

Does the plug for the ipad2 charger come off so you can use the world adapter?
the original plug looks to be about 1 1/2 inch square. Where the prongs are is a section which appears to be able to be taken out. Does it snap apart so as to use the world travel adapter for Continental Europe?

do I need an extra cable to use the travel kit with my IPad mini
the comments on the travel kit said something about needing a lightening usb cable. Is this the one that currently runs from the Ipad mini to the charger, or do I need a different one. If so which one, there are several and none say they are specifically for the mini.

Just got back and the power in the hotel was 110v. The 220 at the dive shop was ok I would recommend a surge protector for travelling outside of N.America though. lots of line surge as power companies don't use a lot of capacitors to buffer the power.

It is printed very small, but if you look at the adaptor closely, you’ll see it is rated for 110 to 240 VAC. So, no problem plugging it into the outlet in India. NO CONVERTER NEEDED. However, I would imagine you would need a plug adapter. I have taken mine all over Europe, South America, Vietnam.
