If the magnets get weak is there any way to make them strong again?

There is a simple way to "re-magnetize" magnets by doing this-repeatedly rub the weaker magnet with a strong one....this will transfer magnetic properties of the latter to the weaker magnet without compromising the magnetic properties of the stronger/working magnet.
