    On a budget, I'd say the MacBook Pro 15" i7 2.4GHz would probably be the better option. Realistically speaking, you can only do so much on a laptop, but nonetheless a 2.4GHz should definitely do the basics. If budget isn't as much of an issue, I'd go for thee 17" because of its bigger screen, but on all the MBP models, you can attach an external monitor and use that for the extra space. Beyond that though, the 13" model would be a little impractical for your uses.

    So, in summary, I'd say go for the MacBook Pro 15" with the i7 2.4Ghz processor.
