It has very nice sound quality and is a lot smaller than I expected (a good thing!). I've had the B&W A7 previously and while the sound quality of the Z2 is not as good, it's pretty hard to tell the difference. The only complaint I have is that this product is a little difficult to set-up. There are not very many instructions other than Airplay options, and it took a little bit to figure out how to play music through the dock and not Airplay. All in all though a good speaker and I do not regret my purchase! …

Musical wonder but technical blunder...
Packaging "à la Apple". Musical quality is better than anything I had had before in this format: Boston Acoustics, Bose, Geneva La Packaging "à la Apple". Musical quality is better than anything I had had before in this format: Boston Acoustics, Bose, Geneva Labs. Plays louder than I would have thought considering the size, same for the BASS, it's very decent for the size. The sound is precise, just like B&W's MM-1. Me being literate in network settings and audio video connections, I had to look for an online instructions manual as my Z2 would not connect to to my WiFi (Airport Extreme most recent version)... in the end, I had to disable the 5 Ghz to be able to join anything other than the Guest Network. That's a shame, Macs have had 5 Ghz for years now.
Next, I have not managed to be able to play anything from the dock whether from iPod Touch, iPod nano, or iPhone 5. The Z2 does not switch input either from the button on the back or from the remote. I like the thing and I want it to work, I am starting to think my unit could be defective.
One other thing, the online instructions mention charging whilst docked with the Z2 off... does not work for me... with it being in a bedroom, I want a WiFi free zone during the night so it's disappointing... …

It's extraordinary, but not surprising given Bowers & Wilkins many years of experience at designing and building speakers. It was worth the previous price of £299, but now it's an absolute bargain.
I also own the predecessor, the Zeppelin Mini, but the improvement on (an already excellent) sound is clear; you wouldn't expect this quality from a speaker system of this size. And to compare further, I also own a Bose SoundDock Series II which is trumped by the Mini and Z2.
Surprisingly, I've not had a problem with AirPlay. In fact, connecting the Z2 seems to have stabilised the streaming. Beforehand I only connected to AppleTV as an AirPlay speaker, but I kept losing the connection. Since buying the Z2 a few weeks ago, not one problem (and I use it daily). Weird.
And if you have no problem with AirPlay, the Z2 is probably the cheapest way to set up a multi-room sound system.
My only slight criticism (I'm being picky) is with the lowest volume setting. Sometimes I like to play music quite low whilst reading, but the Z2 doesn't seem to have a really quiet setting (unlike the Mini). But I really am being picky. …

Poor docking functionality

Instead, I using I use my Z2 at work and it will not connect over the wireless network, but I knew that when I made my purchase. Instead, I using the docking feature of the Z2. Unfortunately, it is extremely unreliable. Some days it works fine while on others I need to reboot the Z2 in order for it to detect my iPhone.
When it is connected, the sound is good, not outstanding.
In the end, this product creates more problems than its worth. …

I'm a software engineer and I couldn't get this thing to work. It took me about 10 attempts at resetting and going through the set I'm a software engineer and I couldn't get this thing to work. It took me about 10 attempts at resetting and going through the setup process before finally realizing that it's not compatible with 5Ghz wireless networks, which is going to be a huge problem and disappointment for a lot of people.
