    great improvement

These are a quantum leap over the old ones. I will keep using the iPhone 4 as long as I can buy new one with my phone contract upgrade and bought them separately. They work great in my MacBook Pro as well.

    Stick with in ear, earbuds

    • Written by from BROOKLYN

I remember watching the clip where they talked about how many ears they tested before they settled on a shape and size for EarPods... I was really looking forward to these but disappointed they don't fit in my ears they constantly fall out, even walking down the street they will fall out of my ears. I ended up giving them to my girl friend and sticking to my old ear buds because they fit.

    I would only give 1

    • Written by from dublin

I had no earphones so I decided to buy the new earpods.

The sound quality is increadible and very good but they hurt your ear soooo much.

I would not recomend it as you cant wear them more then 5 mins continuously.
My ear is so swollen from the arphones that i cant touch them.

Dont buy them until they fix them.

I love apple and have every product but hate these.
Spent 30 euro and have gone to buy the old ones after a week but can only wear them in a week time cus my ears hurt

    Fits wrong ear

    • Written by from Oakland

These ear buds fall out of my ears and give poor quality sound when inserted as instructed. I switched them so the right bud with the mic is on my left, and they work super. Either my ear anatomy is weird or the designers are backwards.

Great sound, but hurt just like the last version

    • Written by from Boise

I really wanted to love these, but I just don't. The old version really hurt my ears, within 5 minutes of wearing them. Had high hopes for these, considering the redesign. I mean, it's Apple so I assumed that extensive research went into the redesign. No such luck. Same with these, except I get a good 15 minutes before the pain sets in. You're APPLE. You can do better than this. Try again.

They sound awesome, so you get 1 star for that.

    Good sound, but they hurt

    • Written by from San Francisco

Unfortunately these get pretty painful after a few minutes if your ears are smaller than the fit they're designed for. The sound is great, but I'll end up getting different buds.

Am I the only one who finds these fuzzy?

    • Written by from Reading

I was offered to try these in store which I accepted, as I was concerned the hard plastic would be uncomfortable, and also wanted to test the sound quality. Turns out they are very comfortable, and they sounded great for the short time I tried them. I have owned them for almost a week, and after trying out various genres of music on them, the depth of sound is great, but have found them quite fuzzy. If it wasn't for the occasional fuzz, I would have given these five stars. It almost sounds like someone blowing on a microphone, especially with dance music. Having said that, the quality of sound is better overall when compared to older apple earphones. I will be taking these back to the store, as they could be a faulty pair.

    POOR FIT

    • Written by from Backwell

What use is this product if you can't wear them for more than 5 minutes as they are very uncomfortable. I much preferred the soft ear bud style. i wore these for less than 5 minutes and felt like my ears were bruised, gave them to my husband who has slightly larger ears and he found them equally uncomfortable.

    Don't waste your money.

I LOVE you Apple but I HATE these earpods!

    • Written by from PESHTIGO

I am a diehard apple fan (MacBook, IPad, iPhone, and I talked all my family into getting them as well, and we all love them.) but I cannot stand these headphones.

I was super excited to try these earpods after everything I heard about them on TV and in the reviews. When I bought my mom the new iPhone 5 for her birthday, I asked her to trade headphones with me, as the new ones are supposed to be amazing. I tried them the next day and they hurt my ears so bad. I didn't want to give up right away so I tried fitting them in different ways and nothing worked. Needless to say I traded them back to my mom, and ended up buying her a new pair of headphones eventually.

I loved the old earbuds! So much so I wore out the speaker in one of the pairs I had.

The ability to be able to pause by pressing the mic is essential to me, as I work as a receptionist, and need to be able to pause my music immediately. And using them to talk while driving was amazing. The capabilities are more than amazing, so I really don't want to buy headphones from anywhere else. However the earpods, were excruciatingly uncomfortable, my ears were red, and aching within 5 min. of wearing them.

I really want the old ones back. They were perfect. Anyone know where I can buy another pair? I'd like to stock up for the future.

Anyway, I'm getting a new iPhone 5 this month, and I will actually be throwing these headphones away, they are that terrible. And I am not the type of person to pass up free stuff. LOL

    so worth the money

    • Written by from Washington

2.5 year old iphone 4 earbuds were failing me, i.e. could only hear out of my left ear, and that too was poor quality. so i bought these and i'm super impressed. the clarity of sound is great and it fits well. and it's only $30. i mean, what more could you ask for? no brainer if you need new and relatively inexpensive earbuds.

    Best ear buds ever.

    • Written by from Pensacola

I have a pair of Bose nosie cancelling headphones and these rival them in tone and
clarity. I bought them for my IPhone 4S (the ones that came with it would not allow
me to answer the phone). Thirty dollars is a small price to pay for such quality. Apple
    has done it again.

    Worthy of the Apple Brand

    • Written by from Bloomington

I just purchased Apple's latest EarPods yesterday, and I couldn't be more pleased. Although I am by no means an expert in earphone technology, for $30, these well exceeded any expectation I had. They are comfortable, stay in place, have exceptional sound quality (as judged by a layman), and are a significant improvement over the original.

These headphones are very comfy and sound amazing! They are Beats quality! The only thing is that people can hear my music that are next to me which is a little brother but awesome quality.

    THESE ARE AWFUL

    • Written by from Brookline

Whoever says these "earpods" are great is either not so bright or intoxicated....these are completely worthless!!! I got them for free with my iPhone 5 and I still wouldn't keep them....

After 10 minutes of trying to figure out how to actually put them in, the stvpid things wouldn't stay in my ears for more than 5 seconds, no matter how much I try to twist them or push them in. If these are supposed to fit anyone, then what's wrong with them???

Do yourselves a favor...go to Amazon and get some nice JBuds for $8 and don't waste your money on these.

    BRILLIANT APPLE HEADSET! SENNHEISER WHO??

    • Written by from ST KILDA

I was forced to get a new headset with mic and remote as the Sennheiser MM70 ($100) lasted just on 2 years till one speaker stopped working. Tech support said get a jeweler to clean them in an 'ultrasonic bath' and that didn't work $15 later.
Out of warranty with no chance of a replacement (Headsets are never fixed, just replaced apparently), I purchased these Apple Earpods and I'm very happy. I'm hearing instruments in some songs that I've never heard before - such is the good acoustics and sound. Ok, it takes a little getting used to in placing them in your ears because of the shape but once you do, feels fine. The remote works in the same way as the Sennheisers: Answer Phone/Hang up/Pause/Play/Song forward/Song back/ Volume up or down, all done without taking your iPhone out of your pocket!
At $35, great value and even if the speaker gradually gets some ear wax over time, happy to replace them with exactly the same product when I need to.
I could have bought 3 Apple headsets for the 1 Sennheiser set.
So buy with confidence! Well done Apple for getting it right for mass market price affordability.
