    Pretty good, just not durable.

I run on the treadmill and do the elliptical bike with my iPhone 5 and Apple EarPods while listening to Spotify. These stay in my ears pretty well and the remote is really handy because I can change the volume, pause/play, skip, go back/forward, pick up/ignore calls, and use Siri with just the remote by clicking the button in a specific way. I guess for some people, these don't fit very well, but they fit me pretty well. Some complaints that I have is that I hate how dirty the cord can get and how the point where the cord and jack meet, the lining around it can rip easily if you bend it a lot. This also happens with apple chargers too. I wish they had an L shape-ended cord instead. Other than that, the sound quality is great. If you're not wearing them properly, I can see how they might sound bad like when I wear them in the wrong ears.

Has anyone thought of having these in black? That'd be awesome!

Great but don't last as long

    • Written by from Yulee

I so love these EarPods, they fit great, they sound great, and they're just all around awesome… except the reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. The left earPod broke or lost connection or whatever after less than 6 months. I've had cheaper earphones that lasted way longer than that, and for $30 they should be lasting a bit longer than some $10 pair. But other than that, I've had no problems, they're pretty sweet.

i loved my earpods. They would go wherever i went. but then, on a warm summers evening, the jack decided to self implode. first the actual metal bit fell out of the cable section, and then when i tried to pull them out my phone with tweezers, the bottom section decided to split from the rest of the jack. By this point i was terrified, thinking my phone would have to go to the shop to get out. I am a very heavy user, but 5 months is not good enough for apple :( hopefully they are covered by my warranty.

Summary: Buy them, but get a warranty

    What I would have expected

    • Written by from broadway

The sound quality is very good and the volume control setting is very useful. But unfortunately they do not fit in your ears very well and occasionally fall out hence the 4 star. For the money they are good value but don't expect anything brilliant from them.

I am VERY satisfied with these earbuds. I went from the Beats Pro to these and they were actually better than I had expected. Worth the money.

These are by far the best earphones I've ever had, they don't hurt your ears or fall out while running! Don't waste your money on cheaper ones (or more expensive ones) as I did just to throw them away.

    Alright for the Price

These headphones don't sound nearly as great as the Audio Technica ath-m50 or other quality over-ear headphones. However, if you compare them to much more expensive ($100) in ear headphones, such as urbeats, they sound decent. Like beats headphones, the bass is somewhat distorted and flooded, and the treble is muffled. On the other hand, they aren't sealed, so the bass had to be exaggerated to be maintained. The mids do sound quite good so that is a plus. For the fit, they don't fall out of my average ears with casual use, but I wouldn't suggest them for exercise. Overall, a huge improvement over the last stock apple headphone.

These are THE BEST headphones you can get for $30 bucks!! Sound quality is top notch but, I have only has mine for a year now and the pin has broke , I'm very upset!! Apple needs to put more effort in the quality if their accessories, don't get me wrong the sound is amazing just the quality of the product is not!

    Generally not bad.

    • Written by from Peterborough

I bought these a few months ago for occasional use (I use my Bose when at home). The sound quality is perfectly good for everyday listening (arguably on par with my Bose) and they stay in my ears, not bad as my ears are a funny shape and I usually use over ears headphones. They do ache after a bit but most in ears do.

I think £15 would be a more realistic price though as they are given away with other devices.

    Great headphones and super durable!

    • Written by from Fleetwood

They are an obvious leap forward compared to the old Apple earbuds. The bass is much fuller and the tones are much crisper. Although they don't fit my ears perfectly (the right earbud has a habit of falling out), they are quite comfortable to wear. I was also impressed with their durability. I left them in my sweatshirt pocket and ran them through the heavy cycle in the washing machine. Aside from a few dings in the plastic, they dried out and work perfectly!

Ive had mine for about 3 months and just a few weeks ago, they stopped working and only play music when i press the mic button down. Now i have a piece of tape wrapped around it to keep it on. And just an hours ago my left bud blew. They are great headphones, but they dont seem to last that long

    Awesome sound

    • Written by from harare

For this size and price I don't think there is a better sound on the market. Across the whole spectrum from jazz to classic right through to rap and pop. Apple did their homework here. You won't be disappointed . Only let down only works with apple products.

    Bang for your buck

    • Written by from CARSON

For $30, this is worth it. This is better than the standard head phone that come with the iPhones. This is more stable in your ear versus the standard iPhone ear piece. Perfect for driving. If the car windows are down you may have difficulty hearing a phone call. I haven't tried using it while running.

    Amazing sound quality but....

    • Written by from Ofallon

Apple should keep in mind that not all ears are equal. Though I love the sound quality I find it difficult to keep the earpods in for more than a few hours and I have to adjust them frequently. It would have been nice to have a choice between the earpods and earbuds with the same sound quality.

Fantastic headphones but not fantastic quality

    • Written by from Peachtree City

I love these headphones! I have smaller ears and these are the only headphones I have used that effectively block out sound and don't pop out of my ears like most in-ear headphones. I use them four to five times a week for often up to three hours at a time and they never cause discomfort. The sound is good too but after using them for three months I have noticed that the sound can cut out in one ear if you shift a certain way. It's never too much to ruin the experience, it's just annoying when you notice it and makes me wonder how durable these really are. I keep them in the case provided and can't imagine why the sound would do that.

very well made for apple ear buds

    • Written by from Melbourne

First of all I'm very fussy when I choose ear phone.

Base sound has improved a lot.

I thought this new ear buds is similar to tube earphone which I really hate !!!!!! (hurts, I can hear flicking noise)

But it isn't, it almost similar to open ear phone.
People will hate this if you have small ear hole, try one of your friends one.

Still it has room for improvement so I'll give 4 stars

Big up to apple on the sound quality improvement . Don't change that! Also could you make a pair without the mic and sell it. I only use these for my ipod in the gym . I have no need for the mic etc. I know a lot of people would appreciate it. Thanks!

    Works for me...

    • Written by from Laguna

I bought the new iPod 5th generation just last week, and I was pretty much excited with the bundled earpods on it, after trying it out, i was astonished with the sound quality. Compared to the old Apple earphones, this is way better, I could even remember back when I was in college I had and iPod shuffle with the old earphones and i really find using it a little rubbish since i could really hear the outside noise; but with this earpods I can really hear the full bass of the songs i listen to. thumbs up to apple for this. The only thing missing with the bundled earpods is the remote. I wish they (Apple) tried to ship those bundled earpods with remote also. nevertheless its still cool.
