I fell in love with the look of this case. However, after a short amount of time I noticed that my beloved iPhone was scratched all around the metal sides! As time went on it became worse. Now my iPhone is full of scratches and simply looks terrible. Also some black stuff grows inside the case which I think is mold. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!

This case does all I need it to do which is to keep it from being scratched. If you're not trotting your phone a lot of places and have a purse with a small pocket specifically for a phone, you shouldn't need much else to keep the phone from being damaged.

As someone who works from her home and doesn't typically go many places, I don't necessarily need a cement brick to keep my phone safe. This suits my usage and needs perfectly without breaking the bank, adding additional weight to the device and being a clunky eyesore. Aesthetically, it looks terrific with the white phone, too.

Sometimes, minimalism is the best option.

We found that the iPhone 4S cannot connect to any of our docking stations with this bumper. The bumper looks natty, but it holds the device too far away from the contacts to let it charge or be used in either of our docks.

it is great but you should make one for iphone 3gs and one for iphone 3 and itouch

Bought this case because it didn't add much bulk to the phone. My husband likes to keep the phone in his pocket and didn't want a big case. Protects the phone in all the right places... having dropped it several times. I would recommend getting the invisible shields to protect the back and screen from scratches. Love that it doesn't cover the back which is a cool feature of the phone!

I was a little unsure whether to buy a bumper case given the mixed reviews, but in the end I purchased a couple of them and I'm very pleased. I am using the bumper with a rear screen protector and it works a treat.

The bumper protects the steel around the phone from being scratched and lifts the phone off the table ever so slightly, I'm not sure how people claim their iPhones were scratched by the cover, I can only guess its from taking the cover off and dirt getting trapped when refitting.

Still not sure? Take the leap, you won't be disappointed.

One drawback....the price. £26 is expensive price for what it is but thats apple prices for you.

Initially i was very happy with this bumper.
It provides a good level of shock resistance when the phone lands on the edges and is also nice to grip. The downsides are that the Colour has faded quite badly. The headphone opening is very small so using any other mini jack other than the headphones supplied can be some what of a pain in the bum. To do so you have to remove or partly remove the case. I did this very carefully once and the softer outer gel/rubber part of the bumper got a slight nip in it :(
The bumper still works fine and after a month or two of usage experience I'd say don't remove the bumper more than you absolutely have to. I'd state that it is far too expensive for what it is and i will not buy another when mine wears out.
Apple i still love you but this case is quite pathetic.

i bought a white bumper for my iphone 4 and after a month it has turned grey on the rubber sides. it had also started to peel and crack near the docking and speaker holes.
great for a month. the price is a bit high for this product.

I bought the green bumper around two weeks ago and had have liked it less and less each day. When I bought it, it looked excellent on my white iPhone 4S but still for £26 I think it is overpriced for what it is, you can't access the silent switch with ease and after about a week the case begins to look worn and dirty. One issue of a larger scale I have with the case is if you take it off to put the iPhone in the dock then after a few days it loosens, on looking at it it's not noticeable but when holding the phone the gap is felt.
This is the only product I've ever bought off Apple that I'm not particularly happy with. I certainly think they should make a back and sides case of a better quality.
