Keep falling off
Written by OC from Atlanta

The sound quality is decent but they just keep falling off my ears. It is really impossible for me to use them, they just won't stay in place, no matter what.

Third times the charm??
Written by JG from EDMOND
Dec 18, 2009
I am going to the Apple store tonight to get my third pair of earphones. Remote on first pair quit working after my wife wore them to work out; went to Apple Store and got a new pair. I worked out with them last night and now the volume button is not working. I am now going to get another pair. You would think Apple would make a sweat-proof product. Thankfully, they are still covered under warranty. Accessories with iPhone purchase are covered for 1 year after time of purchase. I'm going to keep going back and get a new pair every time they break until my year is up if I have to; maybe that will convince them to make a better product.

Poor mic, no bass...
Written by PT from Orlando
Dec 17, 2009
I have to say I am very disappointed in this product. The quality of the sound is horrible. Too much trebel, very little base. The headphones that came with the iPhone are far better. The mic is horrible as well. I use it for conference calls and never had a complaint with the head set that came with the phone. Everytime I use this product I get complaints about interference and voice quality issues.
The only good thing I can say about it is they are very comfortable.
I'm going to try to return my pair this weekend...very disapointing.9 of 14 people found this useful

BAD FOR WORKOUT
Written by CE from lemoore
Dec 17, 2009
The control is way too close to the earbuds which comes into contact with my neck often when i run, therefore the built in control gets soaked by my sweat as i do my usual workout, and the control stops working and is now broken... i dont want to have to keep buying these headphones because they keep breaking

Great but not perfect

The sound quality is excellent, so I have no complaints there. But the remote has never worked on my set, which is upsetting when apple never has a sale on items.

Apple Earphones with Remote and Mic
great while it worked
Written by MS from Commack
Dec 16, 2009
I loved these earphones. They always worked great, sounded like they should for what you pay, and the mic was great for having an occasional laugh with friends over an app. However, one day the remote just broke. I never treated the device like garbage and I don't think I kept it in unfitting conditions, but somehow they still just stopped working one day. Now I have to get them fixed or move on, not really what I was hoping for. BTW, the earphones still work, but the mic and remote don't.

I am using these on the touch for Skype, they work awesome. Is there a two prong adapter for these so I can use them with my PC?

So bad, some words in my actual review cannot be published
Written by DC from Chandler

not sure why Apple hasn't figured it out - or doesn't care - that these buds are terrible for in-ear fit and therefore bad at sound quality, which make for a very frustrating experience. If the value proposition of a nano is a lightweight, workout iPod, then Apple should get with it and offer a better fitting ear bud to go along with it. Oy...

Great Bass and Overall For Price
Written by MA from Surrey
Dec 15, 2009
These earbuds have amazing sound quality, I was surprised at how well my music played. The mic also picks up your voice very well, the only issue that I've found is when your trying to turn your music up or down it's easy to his the pause, or end call button which can be frustrating.

They seem to break very easily
Written by SB from Denver
Dec 14, 2009
I just broke my third or fourth set of earphones. At first I thought it was something I must have done. Now I am convinced they are shoddily made. Also, it's true that they do fall out of your ear from time to time. I thought the sound quality was pretty good so that is why I give it two stars instead of 1.

Brutal

These things are far...FAR from waterproof. I'm a big guy and sweat quite a bit and then these headphones decide it's a good idea to change the song. So the ipod shuffle which I have is great (thing made it through the washing machine!) but the headphones are junk.

i have had two pairs of these in the last two months and both pairs have just randomly stopped working. The right earbud stops working. I would recommend not getting headphones from apple. Spend the extra money to get good quality headphones with mic and remote in it,

They're okay, but only with iPod
Written by JH from Plymouth
Dec 14, 2009
These are okay coming free with the iPod, but I wouldn't go and buy them separately. Spend your money on a different company's headphones. Or, you could get the Apple In-Ear Headphones, but they are rather expensive (but are very good).

Microphone Earbuds
Written by JL from Blaine
Dec 14, 2009
The controls for the volume, playback, the microphone works great, and the music quality is a little bit above average. The earbuds do not want to stay in my ears so I might go back to the earbuds I got with my 3rd generation nano cause I am getting fed up with them falling out.

Very Nice Product
Written by JH from Port Moody
Dec 13, 2009
I've seen and read a lot of reviews that are just bashing this product when its a perfectly fine product. All these reviews saying "It broke in the first month!" or "I've had 3 pairs that have broke!", first of all, half the time these people blast there earphones to the MAX and that causes the earphones to blow out... And with the mic, well its a mic built into headphones... what do you expect? Obviously the will wear out... would you rather pull out a stage microphone instead? this convenient, innovative and clever product might have some flaws but I like the thought Apple put into this.
