    GREATLY DISAPPOINTING!

    • Written by from Atlanta

I was impressed with the sleek look of this dock. After purchasing one, it quickly became apparent that the connection, jack into the dock input, caused serious cracking noises through the speaker system. The slightest movement, i.e., just touching the IPod, caused serious, loud cracking noises. Figuring, that it was a lemon, and another surely wouldn't do it again (am fairly familiar with Belkin brand) I bought another. SAME ISSUE !

My advice, stay away from this product. I am really happy with the High Rise by Twelve South. The design is actually sleeker, more functional, and definitely a higher quality product! The jack goes directly into the IPod, not into the dock, with another jack from the Belkin dock going into the IPod.

    No complaints

I have used this charger for some time now and it does its job very well. First, it will work with any iPhone with a lightning connector. I dare say that most protective covers will present a problem when using a desk charger, but this little device does actually accommodate an iPhone 5/6 when fitted into Apple's own leather case. Secondly, it is well made and attractively designed. Upright chargers like this will inevitably be less stable than those docking horizontally, but mine has never toppled over, nor succumbed to the attentions of my inquisitive cat. It also takes up very little room and so can be placed pretty well anywhere.

    Didn't work

    • Written by from Farmersville

I didn't read any of the reviews so maybe this was mentioned before. I just returned my dock because it stopped working. When I first got it it displayed the message "his accessory may not be supported". I was bummed. I unplugged the phone and moved on. Then plugged the phone in the next day and it worked..... It was good for about a week and then it started saying "his accessory may not be supported" again. Haven't been able to get to work again for the past week. I wouldn't buy this if you intend to charge and sync.

    Same problem as others...

    • Written by from Teddington

These cannot be relied upon to charge an iPhone for two main reasons: a) the lightening connector won't fully engage if you are using any kind of protective case; and b) the phone ends up wobbling on its perch (part of the problem is that the perch the phone sits on is much smaller than the phone).

Any slight movement will make the phone flop a few degrees one way or the other and prevent the phone from charging. I took the case off the phone for a bit and was happy. At least, that is, until I managed to drop my phone...

    Worked great until 10.10.2

    • Written by from Monroe Township

Apparently there is an issue with 10.10.2 that when you boot up your Mac and your iPhone is connected through this dock, the screen just stays black. I am using the latest model iMac and I verified the issue with Apple Support. When we replaced the dock with a straight lightning cable, and restarted the computer, it booted up immediately.

If you have a iPad in a cover it is not possible to charge it in the dock.

It simply doesn't work after awhile on my iPhone 5s. Saying "not compatible". Don't but!

    Poor design

    • Written by from Eastbourne

The small raised bit the phone sits on is not full width, this means the phone is not properly supported and thus wobbles from side to side. The same raised bit is too far forward meaning the phone only just touches the raised back of the stand, only just touching means the phone receives no support from the back whatsoever. The steep angle the phone sits at front to back means the unit is quite susceptible to toppling over. What possessed them to design something so badly I cannot see.

I have to unplug and replug almost every time I dock my iPhone 6

    • Written by from Beverly Hills

My macbook pro 13 inch late 2014 retina display laptop says that this dock is using too much power after I put my iPhone 6 on the dock. I have to unplug and replug the dock almost every time. Annoying to say the least. Also, it does not work with an iPad Air 2 in the Apple case.

    Its iPhone 6 Compatible

    • Written by from Camberley

I was looking for a docking/sync station for my iPhone 6, Apples docking station not yet available.
Saw this and tried it out in store its fit was great!! It is adjustable back and forth to compensate for different iPhones and is open ended so width is not a problem. It will certainly be ideal for the 6 Plus but have not tested it as of yet.

    iPhone on slight angle

    • Written by from CHRISTCHURCH

I bought this because Apple have not released a genuine dock for the iPhone 6. The problem with it is the lightning connector has been molded into the base on a slight angle. This means the iPhone itself sits on a slight angle. Not flash to look at every day. Come on Apple release a genuine dock!

Fantastic docking system for any lightning capable iPhone.

    • Written by from North York

I bought this dock for my iPhone 6 Plus and even with the Apple silicone case, it docks magnificently. It's absolutely beautiful. I purchased the blue dock to go with the blue case. They match perfectly! Great buy! Highly recommended!

Doesn't work with a protective case

    • Written by from Lafayette

While the product is very well made, it simply won't work with most cases installed on the phone - only on the naked phone. The lightening connector base is very wide and prevents the connector from plugging in fully and working because it hits the case. I think a redesign would make this a GREAT product. I am not interested in taking my phone out the case every evening. I am using an Otter Box Symmetry so a pretty thin case. Looking at my friends cases, none of those would work either.

    Hey! This is nice!

    • Written by from los angeles

I am very happy with this product. I have an "Adopted" iPhone 5s leather case, the one that folds over the phone like a book, with a credit card holding component. (By the way, love the case) Anyway, the phone and the case fit just fine into this sync dock! It doesn't require two hands, either--just a gentle wiggle with one hand and you're out! I will be getting another for my work station at work. Thanks for the "just right" phone dock.

Nice dock but doesn't work with any of my cases.

    • Written by from Toronto

The first case I owned for my iPhone 5 & iPhone 5s was the black case by Apple. It has a pretty thick rim around the bottom of the case so the dock never got all the way into the port. Just bought my second case, an Air Jacket which is dramatically thinner, but still does not work. Basically, unless the case has no protection on the bottom of the phone it won't fit. Wish the cable's end in the dock was a few millimetres longer so that this wouldn't of been an issue.

    Belkin Rental

    • Written by from SURPRISE

I have purchase many of these Belkin charge/sync docks and they look good, work really well, but only for awhile. Soon, they just do not charge the phone, iPad or iPod. It has to be the wiring of the device since it just seems to not work anymore. I will not purchase another. Would rather just have my phone on the desktop with a USB plug in.

Will not work after iOS updates!!!!

    • Written by from BROOKLYN

This charging dock worked great for a few weeks but when I updated the software on my iPhone5, it no longer charges. Only an error pops up and says it's not compatible. Very disappointing and now it's too late for me to return the dock. Is there any way to resolve this? Anyone else have this issue after updating software on your iPhone?

Otherwise, it's a great charging dock and I had no issues with leaving my case on while docking/charging. It fit fine. I just wish it still worked for me :(

Will not work with an iPhone 5S Leather Case

    • Written by from New York

If you want to use this dock, your phone better not have a case. The dock will not work with an iPhone equipped with the Leather Case from Apple. Avoid using this dock if you have a case where the charging area is flushed.

    Good idea... Bad Execution!!

    • Written by from Martinez

If you use a case for your iphone, this charger will not work! Let me repeat that... if you have your iphone in a case and plug it into this charger, it will not connect in order to charge. This lightning "plug" is too short!

Belkin, good idea, bad execution! Most iphone users have some type of case so the lightning "plug" should be a bit longer!

However, if you have to take the case off or if you don't use a case this is a easy charger to use.

    Solid iPhone dock

    • Written by from Tillsonburg

I had two of these back in Canada, one in my office and one at my bedside, and I'm kicking myself for not bringing one to the UAE with me. The dock is compact and pleasantly heavy enough that I never had it tilt over with my phone in it. I don't think it will accommodate some of the heavy duty, padded cases but that is neither surprising or very concerning. It's a tad cheap of Belkin not to include a Lightning cable, given the few pennies it would cost them to do that. Differentiate yourselves from the rest of the accessories herd!

I'll be buying another one over here.
