    Garbage product

    Not only is it a tad expensive it is actually useless as a camera !! Then after an hour of set up AND firmware upgrades there is more expense for the pro version !!!!!
    It's going back tomorrow as it is the opposite of what's its advertised as ....... Very very poor what a waste of time and staggered this is sold as an apple product
    For the record EVERYTHING I HAVE IS APPLE INC TIMECASPULE WIRELESS AND IT WAS SET UP WITHIN 3 ft of the unit

    Waste of time and money !

    I am sorry to say that this product just does not work as advertised. After resetting it 30 times, and going through the setup process, it just stops working! I have BT's fastest broadband at 78 megs (Optic fibre) and it just drops out and that annoying flashing orange light starts blinking away yet again.
    So I hope that the apple store will refund me my purchase price. and I am unsure if some of the reviews are genuine ? as I have several other types of security devices that work ok on other networks at my business address.
    But this device fails on that system as well.
    P.S - All my computers and time machines are by Apple. and they work every time , first time. but not this little horror.

    Great idea... when it worked...when you could upload to Youtube

    This device worked well. Good picture, sound and was pretty easy to set up. THEN, it stopped working, followed by an email from the manufacturers telling customers that you could no longer upload to YouTube - i.e. the only reason for buying this vs a regular WIFI webcam (other than the iphone interface) was no-more. In their defence, they built a new online media storage site and a new iphone app in order to fix this issue. I never got to find out how good this was because the camera stopped working (green screened) and managed to get a refund from Apple (thanks!).

    All in all, it was a very expensive camera which didn't allow you to stream in real-time. What footage you could stream was linited to 5 mins. Useless and a real shame.

    Improved interface

    This product did have some teething problems but it is now working fine. Good stable interface and good quality. Nice to be able to check the view at home from my iPhone (or iPad) and make settings changes remotely.

    New interface is good.

    Do the upgrades if you havent yet.

    Uploads of video to their servers is now working too

    Mine works fine. Ideal to look in on my home when away. Have not used the you tube bit yet, and probably won't. Picture quality is not amazing, but I didn't expect it to be for the money. We did catch our neighbor looking over the wall into our garden when we were out, which made us laugh. Glad I bought it, and would recommend it.

    DO NOT BUY - BAD PRODUCT - SORT IT OUT APPLE

    I bought this product thinking it would do 3 things.

    1.) Simple to Set up
    2.) Send Alerts to my iphone
    3.) Would record video / photos & upload

    I received the camera and it was easy to set up. However, the camera;

    a.) Does not sense motion activity & Send Alert to your iphone
    b.) Does not upload video to view

    I tried loads of times. The menu is really simple so there is no danger of user error. It simply does not work. I wanted it to, but it doesn't.

    You cannot upload to youtube. You cannot view videos of motion detection on Izon / Stem's server as the camera doesn't detect motion.

    What a sham. Apple please note: people buy your products because they provide a solution that is simple to use and reliable. The product is not reliable.

    Do Not Buy!!!!!

    So disappointing - avoid this one

    Looks great on paper but in reality it's not at all. Easy to setup but chugs with the image, poor quality in good light and totally unusable in the dark even though it says it can work in as little light as a child's night light. Have sold mine after a few weeks of trying it out. I would avoid at all costs.

    Just like Apple - simple, brilliant

    I travel a lot and spotted this device while in the US. Got home, bought five. Very simple set up, pure plug and play. I did have some minor problems getting the auto upload of video to my YouTube account to work, but otherwise it 'does what it says on the tin'.

    I can now see five rooms in my house from wherever I am in the world, from iPhone or iPad which gives me a great sense of security. Would be even greater if I could access the feed from my laptop.

    The built in sensors for audio and video movement are great because I have three cats, so being able to select an area of vision and choose how sensitive it has to be to movement before I get an alert is very important.

    Next step I guess would be to have it able to see in the dark (IR?)

    A very good buy and well worth it.

    Amazing Home Security

    Since the new firmware and new updates to the iPhone app on the App Store this camera is amazing, they are easy to setup with very little lag.

    I have 7 of these in my home and they work really well, since the YouTube issue Stem:Connect have there own cloud servers that record all your video when activated by motion or sound.

    You will not be disappointed.

    No Support for a product that does not work most of the time

    Product works for a few hours and then needs to be unplugged and attached again later to work properly once again. Product support explains how busy they are but will get back to you and they never do. Company should be ashamed of themselves

    Work on some router

    I bought 5 camera and was excited to use them, but it hit me with disappointment at first, when I set all five camera with BT infinity home hub all 5 work but after a few hours, one by one it started to loose the connection, it's been like this for the past 12 hours reconnecting and resetting all five camera which was annoying, so I plug in my airport express as a bridge router, got all 5 connected been using it for the past 12 hours not even a single one looses it connection, though it has a fifteen second delay on live stream, but as for infinity which keeps losing connection on live stream was a 1 to 2 second delay, overall I would recommend this product if you have the patient to figure out the problem when connected to some wireless router and try to figure a solution to prevent connection problems luckily my airport express save the day, otherwise I would just return them back, hope this review helps.

    I looked for what I wanted and got it.
    I read all the descriptions and understood what I was buying.
    Yes there are cheaper alternatives but you get what you pay for.

    Best of cams

    It is not easy to set it ip but compared to other wifi cam it's a pece of cake.
    Once set up its stable and functions flawless.
    Good picture quality and easy to view.
    Alarms work well to.

    Needs Improvement

    I have two iZon cameras, one Lorex, and one Dropcam. All on the same network. Of all the Dropcam is performing the best. iZon is slooooooow, lags, slow connect, an even can happen and not even be captured. They also drop off my network far more than the other cams. Optics are very poor. The good thing about the iZon is the design. That is probably why they got a spot in the Apple store. If they keep the design and improve software and optics it will be a good product. At this time it still needs some work.

    IZon is a great little device which does exactly what it says on the tin. I don't have great Internet either. My upload speed is about 0.75mb and download about 5.75mb, so pretty average.

    I have had no problems gaining access to the camera from my iPad and iPhone.

    Nice product, recommended.

    After reading some dodgy reviews I took the plunge and I bought an iZone camera as we were going away on holiday to New Zealand for a month over the Christmas period and thought it was a cool way of keeping an eye on the house. The iZONE worked just fine although initially we had 70 alerts for the first couple of days until i realised I had the sensitivity settings cranked up too high. We just logged on changed the settings and all was fine this was done from our hotel in New Zealand. We checked the house every couple of days during the very snowy weather in the UK. Also when our neighbours came in to clear our post mountain we watched on our iPad as they gave us a cheery wave and wished us a Merry Christmas. So a very positive experience for us with this product and would recommend it highly.

    Works great now

    I found the whole experience quite frustrating and I was ready to drive over the camera with my car and finish it off with a hammer and then 'presto' away it works and is accessible from anywhere easily with a great picture - I'm now impressed by it.
