    If the caps in the title weren't clear enough, i'll go further and say this product does not belong in an apple store. at first, the camera was barely adequate (for the 120 bucks) and wifi connectivity was fair. then, a few app updates ago, the refresh rate slowed to a crawl. it displays about one frame every four seconds in real time. useless, utterly useless.

    Have the product for at least 5 months, but never got it to work despite a lot of attempts. Support were to send me a new one, but that never happened either. A disappointing experience from start to end. I want my money back!

    Not a serious webcam for the money

    Optics are poor unless you have strong sunlight. Network reliability is spotty; you are at the mercy of Stem's remote server and whatever code they decide to test day to day. There is a limit of twenty five events per day, and so all you need is a bumblebee to get interested in your cam and boom, nothing but twenty five bumblebee clips for the entire day (real life story). You cannot opt to store clips on your home machine. You must store them at Stem, and they have not realized the potential in selling you extra clips per day, or even In just keeping only the most recent 25 clips per 24 hour period. About once a week, I find my cam is unreachable for no known reason. Force-quitting their application often cures it, not always. The installation either works flawlessly or fails completely in ways that are not well explained - if by chance you do not broadcast your WiFi station name, for one common example. Eventually Stem will stop their server and this will become useless, as there is no way to use it without their service. If you want to use it for security, it will be useless if your internet is unavailable - again because you cannot store events directly to your local, home machine. Some things about it are actually quite clever, but it falls short in the end. It is, at best, something with much more potential than it actually realizes. Nothing a firmware update could not fix, but that is not promised.

    Needs Improvement

    I have two iZon cameras, one Lorex, and one Dropcam. All on the same network. Of all the Dropcam is performing the best. iZon is slooooooow, lags, slow connect, an even can happen and not even be captured. They also drop off my network far more than the other cams. Optics are very poor. The good thing about the iZon is the design. That is probably why they got a spot in the Apple store. If they keep the design and improve software and optics it will be a good product. At this time it still needs some work.

    No good

    Very difficult to set up initially, but eventually got it working. However, it then "locked up" after a week. After going through the the process of re-setting it up again, it no longer sends alerts, (checked all settings). Very disappointed as I had planned on buying a few more if they worked.

    Waste of money - incompatible & unstable!

    1. Poor video quality.
    2. Official website asks you to disable MAC address filtering. Why should we compromise our network?
    3. Takes a while to setup cuz it does NOT "just work"!
    4. The package and monitor itself does not indicate it's MAC address so I had a hell-of-a-time finding out what it was. If only they told users right off the bat that you cannot have filtering of MAC addresses that would've been nice.
    5. Because I am not IT support for my own home, I cannot sit at home to set this up, by the time I tested & tried this and realized it did not deliver, Apple told me it was too late.

    No Support for a product that does not work most of the time

    Product works for a few hours and then needs to be unplugged and attached again later to work properly once again. Product support explains how busy they are but will get back to you and they never do. Company should be ashamed of themselves

    So disappointing - avoid this one

    Looks great on paper but in reality it's not at all. Easy to setup but chugs with the image, poor quality in good light and totally unusable in the dark even though it says it can work in as little light as a child's night light. Have sold mine after a few weeks of trying it out. I would avoid at all costs.

    I bought this product thinking it would do 3 things.

    1.) Simple to Set up
    2.) Send Alerts to my iphone
    3.) Would record video / photos & upload

    I received the camera and it was easy to set up. However, the camera;

    a.) Does not sense motion activity & Send Alert to your iphone
    b.) Does not upload video to view

    I tried loads of times. The menu is really simple so there is no danger of user error. It simply does not work. I wanted it to, but it doesn't.

    You cannot upload to youtube. You cannot view videos of motion detection on Izon / Stem's server as the camera doesn't detect motion.

    What a sham. Apple please note: people buy your products because they provide a solution that is simple to use and reliable. The product is not reliable.

    Do Not Buy!!!!!

    Waste of time and money !

    I am sorry to say that this product just does not work as advertised. After resetting it 30 times, and going through the setup process, it just stops working! I have BT's fastest broadband at 78 megs (Optic fibre) and it just drops out and that annoying flashing orange light starts blinking away yet again.
    So I hope that the apple store will refund me my purchase price. and I am unsure if some of the reviews are genuine ? as I have several other types of security devices that work ok on other networks at my business address.
    But this device fails on that system as well.
    P.S - All my computers and time machines are by Apple. and they work every time , first time. but not this little horror.

    Not only is it a tad expensive it is actually useless as a camera !! Then after an hour of set up AND firmware upgrades there is more expense for the pro version !!!!!
    It's going back tomorrow as it is the opposite of what's its advertised as ....... Very very poor what a waste of time and staggered this is sold as an apple product
