    Low quality batteries

    • Written by from Roma

I purchased at least 5 headsets and they all lasted around 6 months before the battery fades away, the last one lasted only 28 days. I wrote to Apple and to Bose…I am still waiting for an answer.

In the meantime I purchased a Jabra that costs 1/3 of the Bose…

Excellent Sound and best ear fit. Their Technology works as always

    • Written by from canada

I was doubtful about this after seeing all the Neg reviews. Here is what I have to say out of my experience.

Sound quality - the best, very close to my SEi2i which is amazing, I so wish they put out a Bluetooth stereo headset using the same ear fitment, I would buy it in a heart beat. Now for the actual communication part, it's the best clarity and I have NO PROBLEM using it with my iPhone 5S.

I understand there is no a lot of handy gimmicks like headset battery status, or iphone music control function, announce call number, etc... However, it has the best noise block technology that works and that's essentially what you are buying! - a Bluetooth that works great for calls, people have no problem hearing me with windows open going 100km/h on the highway. It was never designed for listening to music or to be an extension of Siri - Just like you won't find formula 1 race cars with air conditioning and stereos, they are build for ONE purpose: to go fast!.

Although I do wish they have the iphone music control because the music quality is so good, I am 100% happy with it as a bluetooth headset. It connects my iphone, my macbook without issue. And it does have Siri function by press the call button, don't even have to press and hold.

I only have this for a couple weeks so I can't comment on how durable it will be, but I have owned lots of Bose items and they are all top notch

    Top Class Headset

    • Written by from Lara

This is the most comfortable headset that you can buy. I have tried many others and NONE compare to the Bose. I can wear it for six hours at a time with absolutely no discomfort. It has all the functions that you need (except maybe a battery level indicator on the phone similar to the Jawbone Era). There are no stupid 'bells and whistles' that you forget about, just pure functionality with crystal clear audio reception and transmission in a variety of difficult conditions.

The headset pairs easily with all our Mac products and in particular our two iPhone 4S's and two iPhone 5S's running iOS 7.1. Battery life is reasonable, 4 to 4.5 hours of talk time with around 100 hours on standby. The A2DP works well and listening to music through the earpiece is the best I have experienced through a mono Bluetooth headset. Good bass but certainly not over done.

The build quality is typical Bose…..excellent! Yes, they are a little expensive but in the end you will save money because it will be the only headset you buy due to the superior comfort and audio clarity.

If you are in any doubt, don't be. You won't regret it. I didn't!!!

My headset stopped working after updating to iOS 7.1 - still works fine on phones with older iOS versions. Tried everything even firmware upgrading the headset, but no luck :-(

    Best I Have had

    • Written by from Salford

Ok bought my 1st BOSE Series 2 Bluetooth headset in November 2013, to work with my Iphone 4S
untill today it stopped holding charge, now i do use it alot and charge it as often as i can at home or in my car,
Went to Apple today and got it replaced, free of charge,
Its priced quite reasonably for what it is i believe as with BOSE you do get what you pay for,
    Everything i own is BOSE.
I used to use Apples (Rubbish) in ear, earphones but it became a pain in the backside for quality and them not hearing me.
The BOSE headset runs Siri perfectly, after training with Siri so it knows your voice and understands your accent, I can ask siri to phone people, send texts, while im out in the wind or in my car, or the local starbucks. it picks out little bits of other peoples voices but still takes my order.
A Great headset, I would recommend if you have £129 spare.......

    Bose Bluetooth headset Series 2

    • Written by from Lisle

I've owned many Bluetooth headsets. On November 23,2013 I purchased the Bose series 2 . My experience has been very negative. The "noise canceling system "does not work. I have had many callers complain that they were unable to understand me because of too much background noise . I am an audiologist and ALL of my patients are hearing impaired it's disturbing that they are unable to understand me unless I am in a completely quiet room with no noise . I phoned Bose to see if there was a way to adjust the noise reduction system. The customer service rep was very helpful offered to replace the headset (shipping charges not covered). Will need to wait 10 days

    Not compatible with iPhone 5S

    • Written by from Westlake Village

Purchased in December, long after 5S was out. Used with my 4S, worked great. Upgraded to the 5S, then found the Bose is not compatible with 5s, only with the 5. Both manufacturers should point this out clearly in their product info.

Gave up using it with iPhone 5

    • Written by from Franklin

Though it has outstanding sound and is great for using for phone calls, listening to music is fraught with peril.

It constantly drops the bluetooth connection and when the connection recovers, music will not play through the blue tooth headset until you 1) turn it off, 2) turn off bluetooth on the phone, 3) turn bluetooth back on at the phone, 4) then the headset, and then 5) maybe within 10 minutes you can get music out of the headset again.

It is strange because during the music outage, it still works great for phone calls and also works great with the Mac Book Pro and iMac without issues.

Great device, fit could be better

    • Written by from QUINCY

I have owned several bluetooth devices, and the Bose Series 2 is among the best that I have tried. Sound quality and noise canceling are top notch, but the fit leaves something to be desired. I am fairly active, and the Bose kept falling out. I did find a solution, though. I bought a custom molded earpiece from Custom-Ears.com and now my Bose Series 2 bluetooth stays comfortably in my ear all day. Sound got better as well, as the earpiece blocks ambient sound & channels sound into my ear. Easily the best combo I've used to date.

    Incomparable headset

    • Written by from Boise

Like many reviewers I have tried several brands, including Plantronics. Most of the time Siri could not understand what I said. Today I went on a walk in the wind. Every Siri command was understood the first time and when making a call I was heard with ease. One person I called referred to the sound of people around me but not the wind. I have finally found the right headset.

BTW: I am not an employee or affiliated in any way with Apple or Bose.

    Bose Bluetooth headset

    • Written by from Wildwood

in one word, Awesome!! I have purchased a number of bluetooth headsets from Plantronics to Jawbone all "High End", Jawbone horrible, Plantronics pretty good, Bose the best. None of the other brands compare to the Bose, easy to pair, easy to use. I'm on the phone in noisy envionments daily. From Airports to restaurants and everywhere in between, everyone I talk to can hear me loud and clear and I can talk in a normal tone. The biggest test; Siri, she can hear my request clearly and gets them right the first time. She cannot understand me with the other head sets. My advice, pay the extra money and buy Bose.

Best Headset that I have tried

    • Written by from Crofton

Here's the deal. I drive a Honda Civic which if you drive one you know is a very loud car. They have no sound insulation what so ever. I turned the air conditioning on full blast and spoke to my 70 year old parents for about 30 minutes or so. Those of you that have older parents know that the hearing is not so good when you reach that age.

My parents reported that the the Bose was the most clear sounding headset that I have tried. The headset was also very clear sounding for me. Loud if I needed and also soft. Siri heard me well too!

I tried the Plantronics Voyager and the Motorola Elite Sliver. The Plantronics was good. The Elite Sliver was a piece of garbage (I liked the profile and fit of the Motorola Elite Sliver the best, however, I could not talk to anyone because they could not hear me....too much background noise). The Bose headset worked the best.

Bose products are more expensive than others, however, you get what you pay for. You can trust them to work well.

    High quality electronic componenents

    • Written by from montreal

I bought a plantronics voyager legend and could not update the firmware, I needed to update the firmware because the sound quality in some areas was really aweful and I read in forums that it is fixed by the update. Did the firmware update and guess what I found out that I already had the latest version. Asked for a refund and changed it for Bose. I went to the same areas where I had problems to test it and it was perfect.

It seems that the Bose has a stronger receiver than plantronics and the signal does not get distorted in those areas. Amazing Headset, I had three before it (jabra and 2 plantronics)

    Bose Series 2

    • Written by from lutz

I had Bose series 2 since it came out and I have been paring it with my Iphone 3s ever since. It worked great until the new Iphone4s came out (as far as I can remember) when the Bose Headset keeps dropping off the connections or Iphone3s keeps dropping of the Bose headset, not sure chicken or eggs. Anyways, I was hoping it happens to many people and either Bose or Apple would fix the problem by now. However, I took out the same headset to use, same problem still exist. Anyone has any solutions?

This is the easiest piece of equipment to use. Once you have paired it with your phone - it takes seconds - its ready to go. Simply press once to dial and once to switch off. It never fails. Sound quality excellent from both ends. Worth every penny.

Problems with Pairing to My iPhone 4

    • Written by from Mansfield

Big fan of iPhones (have a 5 for personal use and a 4 for work) and a huge Bose fan with multiple products. Currently have the Bose Gen 2 and it worked fine on my iPhone 5 and worked great on my previous BlackBerry. When my BlackBerry failed my company replaced it with the iPhone 4. The Bose headset does not work properly with the 4 for some odd reason. The complaint from others is that I "cut in and out" and they cannot hear me. The exact same thing happened to another person I work with when he transitioned from a BB to the iPhone 4. Contacted Bose support who suggested I update the Firmware but as it turns out I already have the latest version. They also suggested removing the BlueTooth from the iPhone and pairing it again. Tried that as well but the problem still exists. They also suggested powering off the phone which in this case doesn't apply as I fly almost every week and the phone is off a lot. After all this and discussions with two support techs I was told they have no other suggestions. Obviously not the answer I was looking for. Looks like I will be forced to go with a different BlueTooth.

Head & shoulders above all others!!!!

    • Written by from Romford

Quite simply the best out there, tried many others but never happy, only downfall is the relatively short battery life, but more than makes up for it with excellent sound quality! Very comfortable to use, hardly notice it is there, even hours later! Makes using a headset a pleasure!
