    Only lasted 6 months

I use this bag to travel 2 or 3 times a week on the train, the strap has already begun to tear and split and I need to replace it. Not great, as I only carry the laptop and basic accessories i.e. what it is designed for.

Rather flimsy and cheap, nothing on a Crumpler (which they don't seem to make for 17" Macs anymore)

    I'm on my third.. :(

    • Written by from Milano

Ok the first one was brilliant. A really well thought through design. But the zip went and it became unusable. The design had been changed by the time I bought my second one and all of the design changes were for the worst rather than improvements. I can' comment on the longevity of that one since it was stolen. (Perhaps there are advantages to having a laptop bag which isn't obviously a laptop bag but that is a separate issue.) The third is very poor. The design is worse still. Everything that smacked of 'well thought through' about the first version is sadly absent from this design. The build quality is shoddy. It has worn very badly both inside and out in less than six months and the shoulder strap has come away completely leaving it utterly unusable. My recommendation is do not buy one.

The straps broke off at the bottom after a year. I love the design, but the bag is really not that durable. I also own the compact version. The side of the bag that is in contact with your back is also pitted and worn because it's quite soft. Expect to get your things wet In a heavy downpour after about 10 minutes.

    Just what I needed

    • Written by from Scunthorpe

I had been looking at this product for a while and knew it would be probably what I wanted. One day I was close to one of the stores so decided to go in and have a look. After i saw the product and had a play with it, I instantly knew it was what I needed to keep my pride and joy safe, along with my iPad and iPhone, so I had to buy it! The perfect tool for what I needed. Can't believe how soft the insides are too! Great product and yet again another great service from everyone at Apple!

    Buy this in store.

Worth every penny. Completely waterproof, excellent pocket for an iphone, ipad or mac. Or all of them!.

Very well made, and really cool. The green interior version is the best looking in my opinion and has a felt inside.

Awesome, got this as a present for my birthday and love it,

    Great Backpack

    • Written by from Melbourne

I'm a student so I have to take around a MacBook Pro, iPad, NDS, pencil cases and portable hard drives. This bag holds everything with room for more. The laptop area of the bag stretches, and it can fit 2 MacBook Pros side-by-side, I tested it myself. Great backpack.

    Not a bad bag indeed!

Price is on the high side, but if you are not so picky over what I think is an extra $20-$50, this is a lightweight bag, easy to put documents into, and easy to zip up. You'll feel like you're carrying just the contents, not the bag as well. The pen and coin pockets inside the front zip hangs a bit loose, as it's supported by a light woven backing which should have at least an internal support. Other than that, a sideways pocket on the front face, a top small pocket, and a secret lower back pocket (all with velvet linings) more than makes up for additional storage space. More 17" bags! They're so versatile!

    Best Case Ever!!!

I can't see what these other reviews are talking about. This is the best case I have EVER owned. Really good protection, and the iPad and iPhone slots are a nice touch.
    A bit pricey though...

    Does Not Last

I bought this backpack about 10 months ago. I have not had any problems before and it really gives nice comfort and protection for any MacBook inside. It also looks nice and simple, and the faux fur inside gives a sleek way of protecting whats inside, while also keeping it warm.

One of the downsides Ive noticed is that it does not hold much, although if you are planning on only carrying a laptop and a couple textbooks, itll do the job.

However, although I appreciated this bag during the time I had it, I regret buying it because as of a month ago, one of the sleeves ripped and broke. This is very disappointing seeing as how much of the back is strong and sturdy, but looking at how they made the straps, they are incredibly weak. If you are looking for a quality product that will last you more than a year, I highly recommend that you skip this bag and look elsewhere.

I am a student in University, I always use my normal bag to carry the computer to school, and the bag does not that good to protect my computer. I really love the bag I bought from APPLE store. Nice and cool. Excellent quality. I can also put my book and notebook in that bag. I love it.

    Overpriced Garbage

    • Written by from Santa Cruz

The quality of Incase backpacks has taken a steep nosedive since my previous bag. I've owned this backpack for 2 months and I can tell you 100% that this backpack is among the worst quality bags I've ever owned. The materials are cut rate, the bag deforms within weeks and tonight the backpack strap finally completely came apart on me while I was putting it on!

I had much higher hopes for Incase given the brand reputation, but now I know that I should never purchase an Incase product again. I paid $100 for this bag and it's horrible! Garbage!

    Worst backpack I've ever had!

    • Written by from Livermore

Very low quality stitching. I'm a student that just needed a backpack to transport my laptop to and from class. However, after only a month of using this pack the shoulder strap ripped off from the base of the pack. I picked up the backpack off the ground with only my laptop in it, and the strap ripped right off, creating a huge hole in the bag and basically rendering it useless. I would never buy anything from incase again. Overpriced and low quality.

Have had 2 macs!! destroyed in this case when travelling. Definitely not durable enough. If you value your mac, consider something else.
