Would i still need to get the Apple Adapter from lightning to 30-pin?
I have a Honda 2011 CRz EX and the lightning cable i use worked fine with the car for about a month. However, now its telling me its an "unsupported version" So, i saw this product. On the YouTube reviews it show this item with only a 30-pin connection. would i still need a Apple Adapter to lightning to 30-pin?

Answer
You connect your phone to this adapter through Bluetooth, and then the adapter is plugged into the Aux input on your car so no 30pin or lighting cable is required. If you'd like to charge your phone the Cigarette lighter adapter has a USB port on the back for your cable.

You can pair with more than one device but, as you mention, not at the same time. I regularly unpair my phone and let my daughter pair her iPod when she wants to listen to her music.

Will this work with ANY car stereo?
I have a Toyota with a stock stereo receiver.

Only car stereo's with an AUX input. Older cars don't have this, but most new cars 2006+ do. Look on your stereo for a headphone input or your glovebox/center console. If it isn't obvious or visible, you probably don't have one.

will this work with a splitter cable into my car stereo's aux input?
i have my iphone connected to my cars aux in via 30 pin dock cable. if i use a splitter cable and connect them both at the same time will the belkin unit work properly?

Answer
I connected my ipod directly and iphone using this bluetooth into a splitter on my aux port. Unfortunately, bluetooth volume is too low even when I switch off ipod. When I remove ipod from splitter, bluetooth volume is just fine. So, it does not work with splitter.

No. It doesn't send audio to bluetooth devices. Your iPhone sends the audio to the Belkin bluetooth unit, which connects to your cars aux port.

Can I use this product and listen to XM radio at the same time? My XM radio is built-in my car...not using the phone app.
- Asked by Kristin K from Chicago Heights
- Apr 27, 2011

Answer
Probably not - how could you listen to XM and your iPod at the same time? Usually XM, FM, AM, and AUX are all different bands/channels in your car. If you are simply asking if you can maintain your XM by going this route, yes - I have. I still subscribe to XM, though am considering dropping it now that I have an almost wireless setup with music I know I'll love!

If I use this with my 2009 Yukon XL, will I still retain the same functionality and sound quality as I have plugging the iPod directly into the radio?
The Yukon XL allows control of the iPod via the radio controls.

Answer
I am receiving viritually the same sound. Some users have complained of diminished quality, however I have not noticed any. I suppose it depends on how far the bluetooth connection must travel, but with your phone in your car, it's unlikely that it will be more than five feet away. The useable radius is about 30 feet.
