Best Answer
Its easy to play it through an amp. all you need is an 1/8 inch aux cable and an 1/8 inch to 1/4 inch adapter. One end plugs into the headphone jack on the iRig and the other end into the adapter which plugs into the amp input. Note that you will only get mono sound.

Can I use the irig as an input for my guitar amplifier to garage band on my iPad?
I want to plug my guitar amplifier head into the iRig and onto my iPad. I am running a 20 watt Jet City head with stock tubes. The 1/4" output jack on the back of the head says 16 ohms. There are two more 1/4" output jacks that say 8 ohms. I want to make sure I can record this way without doing any kind of damage to my iPad.

using an stereo lapel external microphone
Will an external stereo lapel microphone plugged into the iRig work? I've plugged in the mic into the iphone and it only gives a mono output. But if I used iRig, would this allow a stereo input possible into the iphone? Other mics could be such as a Rode Stereo Videomic.
