can i use the bakup to transfer all info on my mac to my mac lite. so the two computers will have the same info.?

No, not really.
A) It wouldn't keep everything in sync over time. Use Mobile Me for that.
B) If you need to just don a one-time copy, connect to a shared folder via your network and copy it directly rather than with another networked drive in between.
OR use a USB drive to copy everything from one to the other - faster than network.- Answered by Gryphon M from Seattle
