Will this work for a bose home player???

Yes, it will work with the Bose system. Just pop out the universal adapter in the Bose and pop the Apple adapter in. Note the orientation of the small slot on the adapter and don't force it! See your Bose manual for more info on how to change this if you have any problems, but it is pretty straight forward.
