It can't. Your MacBook has a mini DVI port. This monitor needs to be paired using the new mini display port. There are no converters for connecting a DVI output to display port devices.

Nope. It had Mini DV. Not Mini Display Port...

Yes but you need to get Mini-DVI to DisplayPort adapter.
