does this work with ipod touch with os 3.0 firmware or higher

    From my personal experience using trial and error it does not.
    I have the new IPOD Touch late 2009 model with firmware 3.1.
    I tried the genuine Apple Component and Composite cables and neither worked.
    I spoke with one tech that said they should work before I purchased, but he advised going to a local Apple retailer to try it first which I did and neither worked. I spoke to another Apple Tech that said they would not work and to wait and see if Apple was maybe coming out with a new compatible cable.

  • Yes. According to the Apple chart under support article HT1454 .

    ALL iPod Touches will work with this cable no matter the firmware.
