will this cable connection work with a tv that just has the red, white, and yellow inputs?
How do I hook it up to a tv which only has red, white and yellow inputs?

No, you would need the Apple Composite AV Cable.

You need to buy the composite cable which has the three plugs, red , yellow and white.

But this is the only cable that supports tv output on the 3gs. the composite cables do not support tv out on the 3gs
