Power Support Air Jacket with Mirror Film for iPhone 3GS
Simple and sleek, but has issues
Written by BP from Austin

First, I love the look of this case and film. They make the whole iPhone mirror-like. Also fits beautifully with just the right openings everywhere they need to be.
But, the film is so reflective it makes the screen un-usable outside in daylight, or even in bright indoor light. Once the novelty wears off, you'll be replacing the mirror film with a clear film (which I'm sure is why they include a clear film with the case). Also, the case and the film are fingerprint and oil magnets. You have to wipe down the phone after every use if you want to maintain the clean finish.
Overall, I'm happy with the case, and the mirror film looks great, but isn't really practical. …More128 of 141 people found this useful

Blocks reception!
Written by JW from Leland

This case may look awesome, but it blocks reception! After upgrading to a new 3Gs, I couldn't figure out why my new phone had such poor reception in places where my 1st Gen iPhone worked just fine (like my desk at work, and at home, and the drive to and from). After reading the other reviews, I took the case off to see if my reception improved, and voila! Instantly I went from having 1 bar to 4 bars. No case, no matter how sexy, is worth missed and dropped calls.
I also doubt this case's ability to protect my phone in the event of a fall. The silver edges around the screen of the phone are left exposed and vulnerable to scratches. Also, the mirror film makes it impossible to see the screen outdoors.
I will be returning this for something functional. …More104 of 116 people found this useful

CLEAN SIMPLE ELEGANCE and Practical TOO!
Written by JH from Plano

Absolutely GORGEOUS pairing with the included tinted mirror screen protector!!! I haven’t seen any advertising photos that really do it the justice it deserves. The super thin design and absolute precision fit make it seem as if it is a elegant custom manufactured limited edition device rather than a utilitarian protective case. This matches quite nicely with high end titanium Cross pens. The style is not for everybody, but HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! …More

Titanium!
Written by DE from Battle Lake

What a great review! I took off the titanium case and went from (0) zero bars up to 3-4 in no time! Thank you for the advice. I love my 3Gs, but was very unhappy with the reception vs. my old, original two year old Iphone. Once again, thanks for the advice. …More

What Does This Protect?
Written by DB from Fairview

I normally read reviews before making purchases but this time I was suckered by the word "Titanium" and a one day sale at the Apple store. Yet as soon as I popped it onto the iPhone, I noticed it doesn't even protect the front of the phone at all. In other words, if you drop the phone on its face, this "sexy" case will still be sexy, but your phone may be busted. And the shell is so thin, I honestly doubt it offers much protection at all for the rest of the phone either. This isn't something I care to confirm or learn from my own experience. Now add the issue of reduced reception. We pay a premium for a 3G signal, then pay a premium for a case that hides your phone from that expensive signal?
If you want your iPhone to look "sexy" and aren't concerned with protection, this deserves five stars. If you prefer protection, this is not the answer. …More14 of 15 people found this useful

Reduces the reception of my iPhone 3GS
Written by RM from Petersfield

I bought one of these cases when I bought my iPhone 3GS to protect the the case. However I noticed that reception was poor on O2 in areas where I would expect good coverage, this became apparent when I compared it to a Motorola Q9 on the Q2 network that indicated HSDPA available and the iPhone only showed GPRS coverage. I removed the cover from the iPhone and immediately the signal quality improved and I got 3G coverage on the iPhone. So I'm not going to use it anymore, just have to be careful to put it in the right pocket so it doesn't get scratched. ;o)
It will also may improve battery life not having the cover on due to improved signal. …More21 of 25 people found this useful

Does this case cover the seam where the back cover (black or white) meets the silver frame? (I'm concerned about that area) Does the case fit tight?

Hi :)
I actually played with this (the purple one) in an apple store, took it out and tried it on.. i fell in love with it, but didn't have the money to buy it :(
In answer to your question, while loving it i tried to get it off to return it to its case, and a fair bit of force to remove it - so yes i would of said it was a rather tight case

I am wondering if I got a defected air jacket, because I bought one (black) for my 3GS and it scratched my chrome. Anyone else have the same problem?

I'm pretty sure u did get a defected one. The air jacket doesn't even touch the chrome bezel, thus it cannot scratch the chrome bezel. I think you should pick up another one and give it another try. …More
